Hey I will join this thread! I have had this book for a while and just have never gotten around to reading it so I will join! How many pages or chapters are you planning on reading a day?

It has 88 chapters all in all I think. How about we do twenty chapters a day? So we'd be finished after 4-5 days. Is it doable or is it too slow for you guys?

No that is definitely doable for me. So in a page sense, since there are over 500 pages, I guess we can read around 150 pages a day then? Sounds good to me.

27% What I think so far: (view spoiler)[ Read The Messenger by Markus Zusak before and I could absolutely say he is one of the best writers I've encountered. His characters have a lot more to offer every time you turn a page. I love Liesel and her passion with books. My favorite part so far was Liesel getting to know the mayor's wife. Her mother was always bitching about how the mayor's wife is so lazy she couldn't even light a fire for herself when it's so cold. But when Liesel got to know her story more, it's true that's there's always more to the story. Gosh I love that part. :) (hide spoiler)]

My overall thoughts (view spoiler)[Okay so personally I thought this book was absolutely amazing. I have a review up if either of you are interested in reading it. I was confused as to why Max was asleep for so long. Maybe I missed it? I think that there should have been a map of the small town of Molching, just to get that extra overall effect. 86% Whoa there's a lot that happened. And there's a lot of quotes I love. (view spoiler)[ I was moved at the scene where Liesel's father helped the Jews. And what is it with the author spoiling the deaths of Rudy and the co-worker of Liesel's father? (hide spoiler)] So far, I really love it!
