I love how engaged you are in this book! (view spoiler)[ I loved the basement reading and also I loved that during the bombing she was reading to them. I was not ready for Rudy either, I could picture her seeing him and my heart breaks. I was saddened that Max was gone but it had to happen, they would've all been killed, look at Hans what happens to him for helping a jew off the street... imagine if they found out he was harboring a jew in his own house? can't imagine how brave the whole act is... Im sorry this tore your heart and tears apart! I feel the exact same way. I really enjoyed your updates so interactive. I think at the beginning death gives us a quote... "HERE IS A SMALL FACT
You are going to die." But is anyone really ready for it? or to hear of other people dying? The whole Max reunion with Leisel was also great, I was happy the narrator added that.

I'm glad you enjoyed my updates hihi!! I enjoyed yours too :) I agree, I don't think anyone is ever fully ready for it. But damn, this book! It was really good, and I'm so glad I finally read it & we buddy read it!! I don't like suffering alone ;)
