I loved this so much. Those few moments of joy. The heartbreak. And that foreshadowing from the beginning came to life.

4/5 stars from me.

Loving it already! Only up to page fifty-something but hoping to read more before bed tonight. (view spoiler)[ it's very similar to the movie (yes, i know, i watched it before reading the book, ugh) which is great but also makes it a lot more predictable i guess. i must say i loooove those notes Death does, it gives the story a slight funny touch if you know what i mean (hide spoiler)]

End of part 1: (view spoiler)[ I really like that this book is narrated by Death as this is really unique and interesting. It has taken me a bit of time to get into the story. I really like the relationship between Liesel and Papa, I love that he is teaching her how to read. (hide spoiler)]

The ending was particularly emotional but I was glad that Max had survived. I would highly recommend this book as it is such a powerful read. (hide spoiler)]
