I'm about 25% - Death as the narrator is very interesting but can be quite confusing. It's hard to not know what the book thief is thinking and feeling but I guess Death tells it how he sees it.

I'm interested but sometimes I tune out because I don't follow

66% - Well I have to admit, this book is growing on me. The Holocaust era is my favorite era of History. I love how so many of the Germans risked everything to hide Jews. Also, the thought of Hitler and the world he created is almost like a dystopian novel

Till the End of Part 1

(view spoiler)[I like the fact that this book is narrated by death. The way he talks and explains how he disconnects the the souls and carries them off is somewhat beautiful. I like how he says 'I am not violent. I am not malicious. I am a result' like that he was stating that fact. That death visits us all in the end. The fact that Death wanted to apologise and crouch down broke my heart. I'm glad he took the book. Some stories deserve to be told.

Liezel not wanting to go inside and clinging to the gat just makes me want to give her a hug. Her brother dying, I can't imagine what that must feel like- losing a sibling. Hans helping her and not treating her like she's some highlight at the circus was extremely good of him. Rosa expects too much. I'm not saying that she's a bad foster mother as she came well recommended, but she just expects Liezel to do what she says. Hans on the other hand has so much patience and he sees that she needs kindness. This place is new to her. "Well, I'm mama number two then." That made me laugh. I hated how the kids made fun of Liezel because she's a little behind in her writing/spelling. Rudy is just...he's a treasure. I was definitely rooting for Liezel during the fight. (hide spoiler)]

But I think she has just a problem with expressing herself. :) I already know what the story will be since I already watched the movie. But I still wanted to read the book. yep. I felt like crying because I'd waited so long for my exams to finish so I could go and buy a copy.

Try Book Depository. I don't know how long it takes for the book to be delivered there but they offer free shipping worldwide. I haven't tried it yet but I've heard from fellow bloggers here in the Philippines that it takes a month. But still depends on your country.

Book depository is great! It always arrives in time (for germany 8days) and the books never have dog ears and they are very friendly if you need help and I order all my english books there, you should definetly try it out!:)

He's got that backward because he gave in and joined a guy that everyone was too scared to go against and Hans stood by his belief even if he could only do it in his own home.
