He could hear some students speak loud and some whisper but he didn't want to go to close to the Slytherin's house entrance, since his relationships with them weren't usually the best due to his House.
Though he seemed cheerful and carefree, if one was to know Julian well, he could detect the alertness in his eyes and his intensity growing levels.
And just then, he bumped onto someone. His big figure seemed considerably uneven to the Julian's thin posture, yet Julian didn't budge or fall after the impact.
"Terribly sorry." he said, absent-minded.

He walked over to the dungeon wall and examined it for a moment, smirking when he realized there was a secret passage way was here. He turned and glared at the boy. "Why are you still here?" He snapped.

He took a step closer to him, closing his eyes in half as if he were a child trying to see in the dark. His eyes folded behind him, he took another step closer.
"Are you an Anderson?" he asked, his voice sounding funny in the echoing space around him.

"Fortis?" He asked questioningly, still clutching his wand tightly.

"Well, if you know my name and you're tensing up while seeing me you must be the young Lord the Family sent over here." he said, placing his hands in his pockets in a sort of theatrical movement.
"Yes, I am Julian Fortis. Welcome to Hogwarts!" said Julian, raising his voice a bit too much and then frowning at realizing he had done so.
"I was meant to welcome you sooner but I figured Tommy would want to have the honor."

He looked at Fortis and raised an eyebrow. "What about you, Fortis? Are you going to cause problems for me?" He asked.

His work usually revolved around the adult Anderson Family Members, so he was rather excited to see Matthew.
Yet, he was reminding himself to not underestimate him.
"Yes, dear Tom has authority issues, I've noticed that." he said, trying to contain a giggle, remembering their first encounter. How Tom wanted to prove he was actually above Julian.
"Of course, I will not cause you any problems. I will stay out of your way as much as I can and you are free to do as you please, as long as you don't overdo it."
Julian noticed that the last part of what he had said bothered Matthew. But it was the way it was, Julian had to make some things clear.

"Don't worry about what I do. However, I will need some assistance from you and Pyle in taking over the school. Secret recruiting, a place where I can work that no one will find. I need you to help me find such a place. And most importantly, keep tabs on a girl named Skylar Harlow." He said firmly.
He'd heard a rumor Skylar was seen in the Astronomy Tower with some Morth guy, alone. Matthew would have to make a very clear message that Skylar was his and only his. And that any guy who even looked at her the wrong way would pay. He just had to wait for the perfect moment.

Julian's expression didn't change as Matthew was talking. He didn't like some of the things he said, secret recruiting, taking over the school. First of all, the recruiting was Julian's business and he didn't go around advertising Come join the Unseen Corps, it's really fun!. He always had to be extra careful of his choices.
What his Young Lord had in mind seemed more like a fantasy; he was seriously underestimating the students and the staff of this school.
However, Julian did not voice his thoughts. "Of course, I am at your service my Lord. I believe I have discovered a room in one of the Dungeons that hasn't been used in years. I'll take you there as soon as possible." he paused there, observing Matthew as he nodded satisfyingly.
"May I ask why you were sent here my Lord? To be more accurate, what are your given orders?"
Julian could not believe that a secretive organization such as the Unseen sent a Family member out in the open, trying to take over one of the oldest institutions of magic in Europe. He suspected that maybe Matthew wanted to come out here for different reasons, and he simply convinced his elders into letting him.
Skylar Harlow, Skylar Harlow... Where had Julian heard that name before?

"The Dark Lord may have failed to take Hogwarts, but this time there is no prophecy, no chosen one to stop a new, greater threat." He said and smirked, holding a small stone her wore on a leather band around his neck.

He never had the honor of working with one up close.
He gave Matthew a wide smile, his closed lips tightening around his teeth.
"We are a greater threat, you are right my Lord." he agreed. No one knew they were coming. They were a whisper in the air, a rumor that could never become a fact unless you would sign a death sentence.
"I will report to you all of my movements on the recruiting process, though it is hard to find good Unseen material these days. I mean, plain members can't reach the Families but they still have to be extraordinary to be accepted into the organization." said Julian, remembering all the tests he had to go through for the Anderson Elders to make him an Unseen.
Though Julian was a talent, he found it hard trying to teach others how to pass the tests; it was either something you had in you or you didn't.
Julian's mind flew over to Morth. Nicolas Morth was his priority for now, ever since he got the letter from the Andersons telling him to start the pressure.
Matthew did not seem to know of it and Julian wondered why that was; was he ignorant because he was at Durmstrang? Or because the Elders had a reason not to tell him?
Julian thought about it for a minute and knew exactly what to say.
"However, my young Lord, now that I have you here, I wish to report something that has been on your Family's eyesight for quite sometime.
There is a student here, in your House in fact, that you need to be weary of and cautious on how you approach him. His name is Nicolas Morth."
Julian would not reveal his mission, but simply make Matthew aware of Morth's dangerous existence in the school. Matthew's eyes lightened and Julian paused, waiting for him to speak.

"Now he's a problem on two fields. This pest grows to be a bigger bug at every turn. First he messes with the corps and now Skylar..." He then paused and smirked wickedly. "Maybe this can be a solution to both problems. But it'll take careful planning, perfect timing, and an understanding of Morth and his group of loyal followers and friends." He muttered again, more of now talking to himself than Julian.

"Perhaps," he said, after Matthew had quieted down, "it may be appropriate for you to meet Nicolas Morth in person without drawing too much attention. There's a Ball in a few days and I'm quite sure...." he paused there, finally remembering where he knew that name.
"....that Morth will be attending with this Skylar Harlow. Even though he went on discreetly about it, his little girl-fan-club made quite a fuss about it, obviously disappointed that such a popular figure decided to go with someone irrelevant out of the blue."
As Julian was talking he noticed that Matthew's expression was getting more agitated than before. Skylar Harlow was an important figure of his life.
Note to self..., he thought.

He growled, face red in fury, and ripped out his wand, blowing up a brick near Julian's head with a yell of anger.
The brick smoked softly and Matthew began pacing. He slowly calmed himself down and ran his fingers through his hair, regaining his cool composure. He looked at Julian and then smirked.
"The Ball.... that might just be the opportunity I've been searching for. And if Morth is there, and Skylar at the same time.... oh, this is working out more perfectly than I could've planned myself." He said wickedly, an insane grin and mad glint in his eye.

Julian saw it coming before it came. He side stepped just a couple of milliseconds before the dark old brick to his right exploded, his hands folded behind his back.
It appeared like a cool movement, but Julian felt his heart racing. This guy was too aggressive. How on earth did he manage to convince the Elders into joining the Unseen?
Not all family descendants were fit for the organization; some rebelled against it and were killed off, some were squibs and banished, some were simply not Unseen material.
Julian believed that Matthew landed on the third category and that puzzled him; there must be something about Matthew that was worth all this. What was it that the Elders saw in him that made him so valuable? Julian had to find out.
"My Lord, I advise you to act carefully." he said in the calmest tone, "since you do not want to appear too predictable to the enemy. Show them your strength in handling their fear, your talent as an Unseen."
Julian chose his words carefully. He had the suspicion that something would drive Matthew insane at the Ball; an image, a conversation. At that point, Matthew would have to contain himself. Or at least he ought to. The way that he would act to the Ball would decide what Julian would write on his report to the Elders.
Julian couldn't determine if what he said calmed the young Lord or not.

His entire attitude and demeanor changed. He began seeing the situation in a way he could control. He thought of all the elements and aspects. He calculated Skylar's personality and her reactions to certain things. He needed to know more about Morth but now he was back in his element.
He was going to do what the Corps admired about him. Manipulate a situation and destroy all opponents.

"That's great to hear, my lord." he said, giving him a smile.
What was he to do, what was he to do, Julian felt quite overwhelmed lately, so many things happening around him.
He was lucky like that, so many things always happened around him.
Julian liked Matthew. If he was a student of Hogwarts he would definitely see something in him and would try to recruit him. He had this ability to make something in Julian spark; was it curiosity, was it a small sense of fear, Julian could not decide.
"Before I leave you to your rest, my lord, if you would permit me to ask a personal question." he started, his legs going up and down on his toes, from the excitement probably.
"Why do you care about Skylar Harlow?"

But he knew Fortis had good reason, plus he didn't absolutely detest him so he would let him live.
"Miss Harlow and I go way back. And while she doesn't know it yet, she is a crucial part of my plan and to the corps. We can not allow anyone to get too close to her who is not a member of the Unseen. I want you to befriend her but keep your distance. Should she come to you with a problem or in confidence, direct her subtly to me immediately." He said firmly.

Well, of course Julian could try, he had nothing to lose but why would anyone talk to him, he's the creepy Hufflepuff.
Still an order was nothing more than what Julian made of it; and this order gave him the opportunity to talk to Harlow, learn something from her, possibly for his dear Nicolas. The weird way that Matthew's mind worked favoured Julian.
"Of course, my lord." he said obediently. The strange case of Skylar Harlow interested him more than enough, he felt ready to set for his side-adventure.
And who knows... Maybe Morth would finally step out of the shadows if Julian came close to his new toy.
"If there's nothing else, I would like to be dismissed sir." he said cheerfully. "So many things to do, so many places to be." he said, almost singing the words in a lifeless tune.

Some changes would have to be made to his plans but it would all be worth it. The Unseen would get Hogwarts.
And he would get Skylar.

He tried to assess this meeting but all he had left of it was a gut feeling that even though Matthew should be important, Julian didn't really like him.
He would have to see and observe, nothing he could do right now. He started walking towards the stairs when he remembered...
Except pay a visit to Skylar Harlow.
