Glad you enjoyed it! :) I hope to read it next year. No I didn't see the movie yet, but I definitely want to watch it after reading the book. Have you seen the movie?

I saw it with my sister when it first came out. It is lovely, but I'm sure the book has a lot more. Can't wait to read it and watch the movie again. It's been a while, so some of it I already forgot.

When were you looking at starting it?
Zara wrote: "I'd be happy to do an open ended buddy read with you on 'Clarissa' Theresa. When were you looking at starting it?"Zara,
Clarissa, or, the History of a Young Lady is 1,534 pages long and composed of 537 letters. With so much else to read in 2015, I think I'll start in January and make a point to read at least 60 pages (or 20 letters) a week, which would stretch it over 6 months.
Does that seem like a good schedule for you?

That sounds like a reasonable time frame. I'll add that to the list.
Lilac and I will be reading The Pillars of the Earth starting July 1. Can we have a thread set up please?
Kelsi wrote: "Lilac and I will be reading The Pillars of the Earth starting July 1. Can we have a thread set up please?"Hi Kelsi,
Is that supposed to be January 1st or July 1st? Either way I will set up the thread for you in time.
July 1st is correct. For the Let's Turn Pages challenge, members are setting up quarterly buddy reads of very long books, so we're thinking super far ahead this year! This one sounds like fun and I was able to pick up The Pillars of the Earth for $3.00 yesterday, so I'll join in too.
Yes July 1 is correct, guess I could have waited to request but didn't wan to forget about it!
Thanks Cassandra and Kelsi. I don't have a problem with nominating books super-far ahead. In fact I love it. I would love to have all the months sorted well ahead of time if at all possible.
I will like to read Anna Kareninaor Fall of Giants in the next months. Both are books that require some dedication. Does anybody wants to join me? I was thinking to start to read them in February or March
I would be interested in reading Pillars of the Earth as well. I have the book and was thinking about starting to read it sometime after the holidays.
I'd like to join in on Anna Karenina. It has been in my TBR pile forever.
Caro & Margaret "The Pillars of the Earth" is already a BR for July. You could join that if you wish.
Zara wrote: "Caro & Margaret "The Pillars of the Earth" is already a BR for July. You could join that if you wish."I saw that The Pillars of the Earth is mark for July. But I already have a copy of Fall of Giants that I really want to read.... But nevertheless I will see how is my schedule for July to see if I can also join that discussion.
Caro, I have Fall of Giants that I was supposed to read last year. I could buddy read with you. I most likely can't do it this month though because I have two library books I have to read first.
Fall of Giants is sitting on my bookshelf next to me, so I'd love to join in on a buddy read for that. I'm fine to do it next month or whenever.
I will most likely join in for that, might be later in February as I am reading The Great Hunt starting February 1 for another buddy read.
Later start in February also works for me. I am sure that the it will take more than a month to be read....
I agree two months would probably be good.
Would anyone be interested in reading the 7th Outlander book - An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon? Let's say the 2nd quarter - April to June? That gives me time to finish my David Ah book I am currently reading and to read Still Alice before getting into a large novel.
I'm going to read The Lost Symbol and The Discovery of Witches this month, anyone interested in joining ?
Duaa wrote: "I'm going to read The Lost Symbol and The Discovery of Witches this month, anyone interested in joining ?"I have The Lost Symbol and wanted to read it a long time ago but I can't start this month. If you want I can start with you in February.

I can start immediately!
Can I join in on Pillars of the Earth and Anna Karenina? They've been sitting on my bookshelf for so long now.
