I'd like to join in on Don Quixote as well (if it's being pushed to a couple months). I know Bleak House was mentioned for August and September and that's a fair sized book as well, so would DQ be for Aug. & Sept. as well?

@Laurie - From all the comments on the GR page, and a friend's reassurance, it seems a definite that it stands alone. Maybe Kara can confirm?
Hello everyone. I think I have everything sorted from this thread.I have 'Don Quixote' down for Sep., Oct., and Nov.
'Bleak House' I have over 2 months - Aug. & Sep.
I have added 'To Say Nothing of the Dog' to August's listing.
I've added 'The Fault in Our Stars' to Oct.
Are there any others I've missed?
Anna ツ wrote: "Hey! Can I join the "The Fault in Our Stars"-Group for October?"You sure can Anna. I've added you to my list.
I've never joined a Buddy Read before, but I would like to try. I have had Don Quixote on my TBR for a long time and this may be the right way to finally have a go at it. Can I please join?

I'd like to join this one, please. Not sure which month it's for but it's been on my TBR for ages.

I have you added Ariel
Kara wrote: "I keep starting then stopping The House of the Spirits, so I'd like to join as well."Hi Kara,
You're already on my list.
I'd like to join in for House of Spirits. I just picked it up at a used book store last week so this is perfect timing.

Wish I had time for DQ too, but I don't :/"
I have added you to both the books you wanted to be added to you.

Of course you can Angelique. Consider it done.
Craig, I've already read (and loved) 1Q84 and What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, but I'd be glad to join in for Norwegian Wood and Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage.

Great! I've read Hear the Wind Sing and Pinball, 1973, and I'll be following up with A Wild Sheep Chase and Dance Dance Dance to complete The Rat Series. The original trilogy ended with A Wild Sheep Chase, and Dance Dance Dance was added later.
Craig wrote: "Zara, I've been considering doing a bit of a Haruki Murakami fest of reading and wondered whether we could structure some or all as a buddy read set, if anyone else would be intereste..."Hi Craig,
That sounds good. I think we already read 1Q84 a few months back. Would anyone like to revisit this one?
For the other books you've mentioned what sort of reading schedule were you looking at?
I would be up for all of those except December's Talk About Running because I've read that one (hope you guys enjoy - I loved it!).He always leaves me a bit disappointed in his fiction, but I'm hoping maybe this will help me get over that.
Craig, I may try to finish up Murakami's novels by December for the Complete Works Challenge. What would you think of something like this?September: Wind/Pinball: Two Novels (7h 57m) and A Wild Sheep Chase (9h 38m)
October: Dance Dance Dance (12h 45m)
November: Norwegian Wood (13h 20m)
December: Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage (10h 9m)
January: What I Talk About When I Talk About Running (4h 25m)
All the times are those quoted for audiobooks to give an idea of time commitment. If we need to run over into the next month, Zara always accommodates.
I don't mind either way Craig and Theresa. I also don't mind it running over into next year (I'm always looking for books to cover the following year). Just let me know which you would prefer and I'll add them to the list for the relevant month.
I do not mind to do it either December of January. I think that the most improtant thing is to read at a speed that we enjoy each book that we are reading/listening with calm. I can do What I Talk About When I Talk About Runningat anytime. I own a copy of the book and so far none of my books are tired to be in the shelves...
All added to my personal running track sheet. I'll add these to the list in this group in the next couple of days or so.
I'm going to bow out of all the Murakami but November & December. Two in one month is just a little too much for me, so I don't think I'd be able to catch up with the trilogy. But like I say, count me in for Norwegian Wood & Colourless Tsukuru!

I have marked you down for these two books Lulu.
I'm just gonna throw this out there to see :) I have barely started The Glass Bead Game by Herman Hesse. I think it is a book that would be very beneficial to discuss whild reading, so if anyone wants to read it to, I would like it to be an October read. Any other month would also be fine though :)

I have been meaning to read this for quite some years, but the book sort of terrifies me! I'd be up for it, most certainly, since I definitely agree it would benefit from discussion.

It isn't so scary, but it takes focus and I can only read a little at a time. Would really like some company ;)
