message 9: by Jason, Cabernet Sauvignon (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jason (ancatdubh2) | 912 comments I'm finishing it tonight, too. I'm about 90% and at the scene where (view spoiler) and there's a great deal to like about this book. Not only does Bradbury capture nostalgia perfectly, but I like the working together of the generations, which are usually something you see as "separate" (a.k.a. up there it's THEIR time, down here it's OUR time).

Both the Dad and the boys feel the tug of time, the former wanting to re-experience his youth and the latter wanting to be older. This novel sends a great message about being content with the time of life you're currently experiencing. Enjoy the present.

What do you guys think?

Gary the Bookworm (garmct) | 183 comments That is very astute of you Jason. Did that thought emerge while you were sipping a favorite wine?
