Because I work with Queen Victoria's..."If one is not familiar with all the players, then it might be a tad confusing; however, I personally think that this writer has laid out the "script" in a way that one should be able to follow. Of course, it is always helpful to have a Genealogical Table to refer to as you read. Having said that I have been slow in my reading thus far but I am really enjoying this read. I am one of those completely fascinated with Queen Victoria, the era and her legacy.

Because I work with Queen Victoria's..."I find it very hard to follow, even tho all the nicknames were explained, jumping from given name to nickname multiple times in the same sentence is distracting. Victoria is a new to me. I am enjoying it tho.
Was anyone shocked to learn about the German governess, "Fraulein"; Dr. X and their efforts at trying to "indoctrinate", for want of a better word, the children placed in their charge. (Chapter 2, "Mad. Never Mind--pages 14-16).
