AllegiantI still can't figure it out... Did Tris and Four have sex or not...?? I am totaly confused... In a couple of scenes it seems like they might do it but then it's like the scene is cut in half or something.... Does Tris die a virgin? I know it's kind of a stupid thing to ask but I believe her death bothers me more so because I think that she is a virgin when she dies... Does anyone know?

It's heavily hinted that she had sex, especially since she no longer was wearing her own clothes but wore Four's clothes after the scene. I believe the writer wanted to keep it clean for the younger audience but the older audience can figure it out.

In interviews with the author, she says that there are "scenes of great intimacy" but she didn't want smut on the page. I don't believe she intended to indicate that they had sex. However, she purposely left it up to the interpretation of the reader.
