William Peters | 44 comments Hi,

I just published my second book, Escaping the Dark House: A Self-Help Memoir of Depression, on Amazon and am looking for reviews. It's not yet listed on Goodreads because the paperback version isn't yet available on Amazon (should be available in a few more days). It's a short book (22,000 words). If you are willing to read and review it, please message me with your e-mail address or street address and I'll send you an e-version or paperback copy.

For more details see: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010...

Sorry, but I'm not interested in review exchanges (they're unethical in my opinion). However, if you have a book, let me know its details, and if I'm interested I may buy, read, and review it.

Cheers,

Will

Goodreads official groups—like the Goodreads Author Feedback Group—are probably not the best place to seek reviews for your books. We’d suggest, instead, using our Giveaways program, or looking for beta reading or review groups on the site where this kind of solicitation is encouraged.

William Peters | 44 comments The Giveaway program for reviews? Ha! The last time I ran a giveaway I gave 5 books and got 0 reviews. I've had enough of Badreads, I'm off to Librarything.

Joshua Linden | 33 comments I'm on my third good reads giveaway. I only had one review from the first 10 books I gave away...half of which were overseas and relatively expensive to ship. This latest give away only includes "in the US" to cut down on shipping costs. I had originally read that there was a 60% review rate...not sure how that percentage was arrived at.

William Peters | 44 comments Joshua, instead of repeating myself, I'll just provide the link to the thread giving my thoughts on GR giveaways:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

But beware, there is at least 1 troll watching that thread who will attack your books with 1-star ratings if you criticize GR giveaways.
