How would you bring Sookie and all the novels characters back for a new installment?

This crossed my mind today because I've been looking for another "Sookie-esque" novel to read. Something with a similar feel to it and I just can't find it. So I started thinking about Charlaine Harris's novels, and how the last 2 "short novellas" were very dissapointing to me and didn't even really focus on the main characters...Anyway though, I was thinking with how the novels ended, and the show...And I was thinking, maybe, just maybe our favorite southern vampires and waitress could be brought back in a clever tasteful way...Maybe something happens to Sookie and Sam and they finally reach out for some much needed, although not wanted help from Eric and so on and so on...I'd be more detailed but wanted to hear from others about what they think. How would you bring them back? Would you even want them back? Would you let it go as is?
