Suddenly struck by a painful and debilitating psychiatric brain disorder, Savannah Bloom does her best to carry on as a small-town journalist while hiding her secret for fear that she will lose everything dear to her. At stake is her childhood sweetheart, her job, and her freedom.
It is only when Savannah becomes the central figure of a national story that she uncovers that her weakness becomes her strength and her determination pays off in transforming the beliefs of the people she holds closest to her and those who have watched her story unfold in the national spotlight.
The Other Side of the Window is a gripping, unforgettable love story.

I am the writer of a 112,800 word Lit Fic entitled Ageless Spy. First novel at 66 and ready for more.
Summary as follows:
Ageless Spy is a literary novel that flows smoothly through the protagonist's life. The narrative is not meant to confound the reader with overtly clever twists, violence or sex. Ageless Spy simply tells a story about lives that intertwine amid the Second World War and bond closer together after the war's conclusion. The quiet narrative introduces Carl Coles and creates a wonderful tapestry of suspense and intrigue as the story takes the reader on unsuspecting paths.
The narrative unfolds slowly as an aged Carl Coles and his wife Maureen begin an uncharacteristic reminiscence of a time long ago. The cozy warmth of their Halifax kitchen soon gives way to a young British merchant seaman who happens upon a tiny Halifax cafe decades before in 1939. Carl Coles puts aside his personal life and sacrifices himself for his country for years. Follow his career and find out why he became the premier agent assassin of the British Secret Service. Find out how this typically gentle man could separate career from his personal life and still maintain his humanity.
Available in all ebook formats as well as softcover print. Let me know which you prefer and I will send it to you.
Thank you for your kind consideration

The book is a dystopia for young adults and follows the story of Nena who is shocked when she discovers that only girl babies are born in the Bloodlands.
My website is www.janeannerogers.com and I'm happy to read and give feedback to young adults writers.

James and I are a Down Under father-and-son writing team. We seek more reviews for our historical adventure-romance Fiji: A Novel and would like to hear from anyone interested in doing a ‘review swap’ via kindle gift –
i.e. If you are prepared to do an honest review of ‘Fiji’ for Amazon, Goodreads and anywhere else you care to post it, we will be happy to reciprocate and review one of your books.
Warning: ‘Fiji’ is not for the prudish or the squeamish. Set in exotic 19th Century Fiji, it’s reflective of an era in which violence and lust were in plentiful supply.

The storyline: In the mid-1800's, Fiji was a melting pot of cannibals, warring native tribes, sailors, traders, prostitutes, escaped convicts and all manner of foreign undesirables. It's in this hostile environment in our story that an innocent young Englishwoman and a worldly American adventurer find themselves. Despite their differences, there’s an undeniable chemistry between them. When their lives are suddenly endangered by marauding cannibals, they are forced to rely on each other for their very survival.
The first half dozen chapters can be read free of charge if you click on the Amazon link and then click on the book’s cover:
If ‘Fiji’ appeals and you are prepared to do a review swap as per above, let us know here. Thank you!

Hi Rebecca,
I'm not sure if you're still reviewing. If you are, let me know and I'll be happy to send my book along. It's a work of literary fiction. I'll be happy to share more about it if your time allows you to take on new books. Thanks for the post and the opportunity!
Just in case: My novel Darshan is about a family's one-hundred-year journey across continents to escape a crime that haunts them through generations. Set in Colonial India, Colonial Fiji, and the San Francisco Bay Area, the story begins with hardships based on historical events that then follow the characters throughout their lives. The three male protagonists are constantly beset with struggles to be better in the face of so much tragedy, and they are often supported by silent and formidable women who help guide them through their misfortunes.
Thank you!

Dear Rebecca,
I've recently written a YA book called "Caught in a Moment" which I would say is intended for the older end of that range and should be enjoyable by adults too. If you're still looking for new things to read I'd be glad if you'd have a look at it for me and see what you think. Here's an outline of the story, which I think is a pretty original premise:
Whilst all the world stands still, Alex Trueman wanders alone in the silent streets of the city. All around are the motionless figures of his fellow citizens, solid as marble. Caught in a Moment (78,000 words) describes Alex’s adventures in the unique world of Intersticia. “He’s a Daydreamer,” states his school report and no one who knows Alex would disagree. But this mental state, this condition of temporary disassociation from reality is one that Alex has immersed himself in once too many times. He has daydreamed himself unwittingly into a world outside of ordinary time, that exists in the slender intervals between instants. From Alex’s point of view the world around has frozen into immobility. There are delightful possibilities in the hushed streets with their motionless cars and people, but as the hours pass exhilaration is succeeded by anxiety. And he is not alone. Alex soon discovers that he shares this world with others. There are a few dozen fellow dreamers who share his fate. There is plump, bespectacled Will, pretty brunette, Kelly and the lonely outcast Paulo. Presiding over them all is the enigmatic Ganymede, an irascible vagrant who distributes food to his dependents and sets them perverse tasks to perform in return. Alex soon finds that he has rare skills in Intersticia, skills that set him on a collision course with Ganymede in which the very existence of Intersticia is put at risk. Nor are all the inhabitants of Intersticia dreamers. Some of them are dead; spirits lingering on after the instant that was their last on earth. The terrifying Cactus Jack, Death’s delegate in Intersticia, stalks the streets in search of these loose ends. Alex is soon engaged in a desperate struggle to cheat Death of at least one of his victims.
I don't know if the brief synopsis appeals to you but if it does you can download the book for free at present from Smashwords.com. This is the first of a trilogy, incidentally. The second and third volumes are called "Worm Winds of Zanzibar" and "Angelic Upstart". "Worm winds" is already written and is out there too. "Angelic Upstart" is in the process of gestation (about 45,000 words in).

And here it is in Goodreads http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...

I would certainly be interested in promoting any of my books, especially A Negotiation of Wounds (Negotiation Series, #1, A Dangerous Low, and A Furious Wind. Let me know what I must do.

Here is a blurb:
Rory is only seventeen years old and six months removed from his friends in Nashville, Tennessee when he receives the news that his best friend Christopher has died—and worse yet, he has been hand selected to deliver Christopher’s eulogy. Over the course of one weekend Rory must confront his fears of public speaking, falling in love, growing up, and losing a sense of what he calls home. Wrought with emotion, and fueled by teenaged doubt, friendship, and punk rock music—The B-Side Diaries unravels the truths about not only what it means to lose a close friend, but also the truths about what it means to be a teenager. Told through diary-like confessions from Rory’s perspective, The B-Side Diaries is written in a faux-memoir style, that pulls the reader into the mind of a teenager sorting out his life, and coming to grips with his loss of innocence.
Think “The Big Chill” for teenagers meets Fat Kid Rules the World.
Happy reading!

Part of a series in which a young Irishman, newly released from prison, is headhunted not merely for his skills as an assassin, but is also exploited by an underground Anti-terrorist agency, on learning of his mother's involvement with an I.R.A man, which adds a further twist to the story.
