Has anyone started this part of the book yet?
so far the first few chapters of the book reminds me of Ray Bradbury's "dandelion wine".
Its told so far from a young boy's point of view in the Nebraska country setting during summertime. :)

I feel when jim kills that giant snake, this is a turning point in the relationship between him and Antonia. I think he shifts from feeling younger and inferior to feeling like a hero. of course he almost always keeps his Antonia on a pedestal which is sweet. but I see this as a turning point.
