These are 2 separate authors, not a profile merge. Someone added editions of the romance novelist's books to the professor's books.

I know that authors with the same names are separated using multiple spaces. I hovered over the links to the 2 author profiles to see if the underscores would show how many spaces there are. But doing that only shows the profile #'s. So how can you tell which author has how many spaces?

(I did check the changes you made to try and figure it out for myself, but no luck)

"Dan Hamilton" seems to be a common name among writers and artists ... I have written a bunch of books, but these two are NOT by me, and I would welcome some help clearing up the confusion:

I saw the instructions for splitting out books, but was reluctant to identify these two books myself as being by either one different author or two. All I know is they're not mine, and their author(s) deserve separate credit.

I'm willing to try it, but I'm still feeling my way around the site and figured one of the librarians would prefer to do this.
