I love Edgar Allan Poe stories, but I haven't found a lot of books like this. Any suggestions?

I`m afraid there are none. Well, there are books by other authors critics (publicity people?) compare to those written by Poe, but they either err or just lie. E.A.Poe is unique.
But I do recommend Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Alan Parsons Project. Listening to the album is perhaps even better than reading the book!

Poe is unique, but here some books that have elements of the macabre, the Gothic, the decadent, and are more (or less) poetic. You might enjoy the original Dracula. Maybe Frankenstein - fascinating but in a different way. Not so Gothic, but still wonderfully rich are the classic Wilkie Collins' The Moonstone and The Woman in White. Carmilla. Interview with the Vampire. Tanith Lee's deliciously vicious Master Series, Night's Master etc. French Symbolist poetry, esp. Baudelaire (Baudelaire translated Poe). Against Nature by Huysmans. And I'll throw in mine as having the macabre, decadent, Gothic, and poetic elements - Floats the Dark Shadow, a mystery set in fin-de-siècle Paris. I did a poetry video homage to Poe called The Poet that's up on YouTube - from a poem by Victor Hugo. My trailer and some more romantic French poems are there too.

Hi. Poe is incomparable but you may try H.P. Lovecraft for bizarre stories. Or the more modern writers Stephen King, Anne Rice, and Neil Gaiman.

Guy de Maupassant es la alternativa más o menos "underground" de Poe.

With all due respect, neither of the above except Wilde could be compared with Poe, and Wilde, while as good as or most probably better, is quite a different kettle of fish.

I still say Poe is unique. But I must admit it depends on "which Poe" is "the Poe" you mean. There are different aspects to it. If you mean poetry, Coleridge might do. For gloom, I`d suggest Blake. For mystery, Chesterton with his Father Brown series, only that`s a tad too humorous if compared with the Poe mystery. Some others, as well. Yet none of those is "totally Poe".

If you like his detective stories like Murders in the Rue Morgue, then the Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are along the same vein. Otherwise, there are no authors like Edgar Allan Poe. However, there is this interesting short story in The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, entitled "Usher II" which is a good homage to EAP. Also, of all the authors who look to EAP, I highly recommend Neil Gaiman's Sandman series of graphic novels, and his novel "Neverwhere."
