Got two copies today. Saving it for travel reading.

Last night I read JPO's Non-Motile. I really felt for Henry. Actually, right up to the last page I felt bad for him. This poor guy was in a tough spot for sure. The wife's all weird, the buddies too. And then the work situation tanks. Going through all this crap in his head was overwhelming. She was unhappy. Life is hard. But she could have just left him. Instead she shut him out then tried to get him to what? Go out with the guys and maybe cheat? But he didn't. So then what? make him do something that he doesn't want to? Maybe he'll fight about it and then leave? But he doesn't. And he's so unhappy but willing to try almost anything to make her happy. Except get the vasectomy. And she catches him in the lie and uses that to make him leave. And he does. Thank God he didn't get the snip. So sad.

I reread that and still think it's sad.
I was happy to see Cherry by Matt. This was one of my favorites from Backspace. I think that version may have been longer I'll have to go back and check. But the feeling at the end was the same. READY?? Sad. I'll see if I can link the two up.
