Starting the (re)read

Welcome to the (re)read! I'm excited to renter the Wizarding world! Since Deathly Hallows came out, I have not successfully reread the whole series. But this time I'm going to make it all the way through, because I'm going to be doing it with all of you guys!

The first decision we need to make is when to start this thing (and a kind of schedule). I'm thinking of making the deadline a year to read the whole series together. I also really want to just jump into this so I'm thinking of a start date of September 19th. This is a week away and a date with Harry Potter significance (Hermione's birthday).

Hopefully I'll have some people on board for this!

I love this idea! Unfortunately I don't have any of the books with me, but I will definitely be here for moral support. I'm still trying to get through A Casual Vacancy, so at least that is Rowling related.

I do really want to reread the series, though. I've never been able to get through the whole thing a second time!

Thanks Christina! Also I'm willing to send you copies of my books if you would like (I do know you must be wicked busy with law school though). But seriously I'll put Sorcerer's Stone in the mail for you Monday.

Aw, thanks! Don't send it yet, but when I finish A Casual Vacancy I'll let you know. Hopefully it will be soon!

I would love to do this! Don't know if I'll be able to keep up with a schedule as the semester continues to progress (depending on what the schedule is), but I want to give it a shot.

Hey everyone! So we're going to start the reread on the 19th. Also I added a poll asking how many times everyone has read the series, mainly because I want to make sure no one gets spoiled if they haven't read the books yet. So especially if this is anyone's first time reading Harry Potter please answer the poll or let me know, so we can figure out a way not to spoil anything.

I used to re-read previous books when the new ones came out. So I have probably read the entire series 2 times, but book one, two and three I've read more like 3-4 times.

I have read individual books possibly 3 or 4 times but I have never read the ENTIRE SERIES all the way through more than once! I'm super excited!

I've read 1-4 about 4× each, books twice and books 6 and 7 only once each!

I'm definitely on board with the reread! It'll be more exciting than my reread of Wheel of Time, which is a great series but I'm Kinda delaying having to read the last books of that series!

So I started rereading it and to my surprise most of the visuals in my head as I read everything are actually from when I first read the book and not from all the movies!! I'm really excited!!

I'm most of the way through the first one already and had forgotten how clever it is!

I love this! I just started rereading the series for the first time in a very long time. I am currently on the fourth book but i've read all the other ones in the last month :)

I think this is a fabulous idea - The only problem is that I started this a week ago and am now on book 4 so a little ahead of you. I will wait for you to catch up (if I can- i'm a bit of a compulsive reader!)

I wish I hsd less grading to do....but gotta make these kids work and work hard which means I have to grade it! We'll have reading time today so i should get to some of itM

Hey Hey, im not sure if i'm in the right area for this, and if Anyone Will even ever read this xD !

But omg i know its impossible to imagine, but i actually have never read the books * shame shame*
And even only seen the first 3 movies, the only positive About that is that om completely spoiler free yay :)

But but so i was just wondering if Anyone want to do a buddy read/ read a long of the series:)
