Hi. I am new to this group and fairly new Goodreads. I am the author of two pictures books, 'Orchids' and 'Art Parts: A Child's Introduction to the Elements of Art.' Both books were inspired by my work in Early Childhood Educations when I saw a need for these topics. I am active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (kind of), Pinterest, and just now learning how to use Goodreads.

My name is Ella. Thanks for letting me join this group.
I've published 6 beginning readers for kids just starting off on their reading journey. I also include a resource section for parents and caregivers- activities to do more work with sight words etc.
When my oldest child started to read, the books we found at his level were kind of dry - ok, boring! - so I write humorous stories. At least, my kids and I think they're funny :)
I just added my Easter book to the bookshelf so you can have a look. I 'm always grateful for feedback.

Alfie's Treasure Hunt
I wrote this book for my wonderful grandson 'Alfie'.

Alfie is a baby when he moves in with his forever family. As he grows up his parents, Tiffany and Felix Bagley wish for another child to provide Alfie with a brother.
To distract his family from the social worker's constant knockbacks, Felix decides it’s time to buy their own first home. The house is dilapidated, and Felix and Tiffany set about carrying out vital repairs, while Alfie is left to play in the garden and in the spectacular treehouse. It is here he finds his first treasure and a note from the previous owner’s daughter Amelia. Alfie’s goal is to discover what lies at the end of the treasure trail and solve the puzzle of Amelia’s father’s disappearance.
With the help of Hilda, the kindly old lady who lives next door and a peculiar boy who is delivered to their house by a woman who resembles a witch, he embarks on a turbulent journey. Soon he is compelled to fight dragons, knights and an evil pirate to rescue a Queen and all those he loves.
