Sophia Martin | 27 comments Hi all,
I'm an avid reader (and an author, too, but don't worry, I've no intention of spamming you). I go through phases as to the genres I'm into and mystery/thrillers/crime is definitely up there. I've read just about every Rita Mae Brown in her Mrs. Murphy series, I love Stephanie Plum, though I haven't picked up the last few just because I've needed a little break from the formula... I'm a fan of John Grisham, and of course the list goes on. I tend to like novels that are a little more on the margin of the genre, like I would consider The Name of the Rose a mystery, and it's the only Umberto Echo book I liked. Anyway, happy to be part of the community. :)

Carmen | 2477 comments Hi Sophia! You've picked the right group. Everyone here is very nice and the threads are really entertaining as well as informative.

It's a great place to find new authors or even older ones you've never heard of or just never considered reading. I know this has happened to me and it's great!

Hope you have a good time here!

Bill Welcome to the group, Sophia. As the others have said, I'm sure you'll enjoy the people here, they are very friendly and there are many good discussions taking place. Feel free to use our Author's Corner thread to discuss your books. I also like the Stephanie Plum books; try to read one or two over the course of the year. They are always entertaining.
