Wicked Lovely was excellent. It sort of reminded me of a YA version of the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Good characters, good plot, and something at stake that you care to read about.
Ink Exchange was good, but very different. It was much darker in feeling, and the possibility of a HEA ending depends on what characters you like and don't. It felt more world-weary. I do think I liked WL a little better than IE. I'm hoping Fragile Eternity is even better, since it returns to the original characters.

I am just so happy that she got to stay with Seth. I kept thinking that she was going to have to leave Seth because of everything, so was pretty happy with the ending. Please don't tell me if they break up in Ink Exchange or Fragile Eternity. I haven't read them yet! :) I just really liked him and loved his attitude towards everything! I mean, most guys would have laughed at her when she mentioned Faries.
One of the other things that I loved was her name, Aislinn. I have always had a thing for Irish names, and a few years ago I came across that name on an irish names website and just loved it. I've never met anyone with that name or even ever seen it anywhere else, but it's always stuck with me. So I was excited when I saw her name in the book. Also, for those of you who don't know. In Irish the name means dream or vision. Fitting don't you think?

I hear you, I was constantly worried that some how she'd end up with Keenan. I loved Seth from the beginning so I was really concerned. As the books are quite dark, I wasn't confident that there would be a HEA, but I was glad there was!

That most certainly are going to heaps lucky. I have only read the first one, but I own the first two and I love them!

By the way, what's the definition of "Urban Fantasy" anyways?

I've read the three, and thought they were all pretty wonderful. Wicked Lovely made me think of Holly Black's fairy series, "Tithe", "Ironside", and "Valiant", they are very good also
BTW, I love that name "Syhren", as well as "Vehngeance". very jr ward :)

Aislinn is one of the very rare humans that can see faeries. She's always learned that that world is dark and brutal, and it would be extremely dangerous if any faeries were to ever learn that she can see them. Aislinn has grown up constantly being reminded of "the rules". The top three being, #3 Don't stare at invisible faeries, #2 Don't talk to invisible faeries, and most important #1 Don't EVER attract the attention of faeries. But what should Aislinn do when she finds that she's somehow attracted the attention of not just one faerie, but seemingly all of them.
This is a really great young adult urban fantasy. It does have a darker edge to it, but that's one of the things that I found extremely intriguing. I loved how unique this book was. First off, you have a "leading man" that is very atypical. He has bars in his eyebrows, a ring in his lower lip, wears black fingernail polish, and lives in a couple of renovated train cars. Definitely not your typical protagonist. Also, as I started reading this novel, I was sure that I knew how it was all going to end. After you read as many books as I have in this genre, you tend to see patterns. So I was delightfully surprised when the book went into a completely different direction from what I had assumed. Very refreshing change!
This is a book that I strongly recommend to fans of urban fantasy. Also, as a side note. I know that you should never judge a book by it's cover, but I just have to say that I absolutely love the cover of this book, as well as the later books in the series. I've posted a picture of it on the left side of my blog, but it just can't do the cover justice. If you are at a book store, you should check it out!
