Why do dreams have pillows… a crush?
Well, more like a thump
Until I’m ready to make that jump
The ground is plush
Made up of my dreams
I would ask you tread carefully
Yet I hush
Our eyes caught
And I’m at a loss
What to do or say, I rush
All the way down
Falling because somehow
While I stand shushed
Forgot to ask why angels have wings
Or why a moment with you is a sweet nothing
I like you, like the heavens blush
Yes I make light of Heaven, because the universe, Mars and Venus
Even Jesus
Would fall before, you and me became us
Like a love story in a Kindle or Nook
Because if I carried so many books
Too heavy, my heart, too much
Love and lust
If only I could say “Hey Lover, this is more than a Crush”

Freedom SparklesIt's the birthday of my Country
The land that I call home
I've been to other places
As I've traveled and I've roamed.
Each country has its something
And "touristy" things to do,
But I always catch the return flight
Seems I'm stuck here just like glue.
Those other kinds of landscapes
Are fun to visit and explore
But I find when I'm enjoying them
I can't wait to see home's shores.
There are many things to see and do
And vacations for me to plan
But America is home to me
And my heart in in This Land.
