Jackson smiled softly and slipped in easily beside her before shutting the door for her. "Here let me see.." he said softly as he softly took his hand on her chin and tipped it up while his other hand moved the ice away.

Ravenna stayed still as he did so. She let him look at it.
Jackson skimmed his thumb softly over her cheek. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, Ravenna.. I didn't expect him to hurt you."
Ravenna closed her eyes briefly. "Its okay." she said. "I'll be fine."
Ravenna closed her eyes briefly. "Its okay." she said. "I'll be fine."
Ravenna nodded. "Yeah. I'm used to ignoring people."
Ravenna sighed. "I'm okay, Jack. Its okay. If I'm still breathing we're both good."
Jackson sighed through his nose. "Do you want me to stay in here tonight. I actually recommend it in case your fathers still around.."
Ravenna shook her head. "They're gone again by now."
"Trips. Places. They don't actually tell me where they're going, just that they're leaving."
"Huh.. weird. Well either way, I'm staying in here tonight in case you have nightmares again." Jack shrugged "Anything good on tv?"
Ravenna lifted a shoulder. "I don't know. You know I don't watch Tv too much."
Jackson sighed softly "I suppose your right." he said and plopped on her bed and patted a spot beside him. "Shall we look?"
Ravenna nodded. Not like there was anything better to do. "Can I have the ice back?" she asked, seeing as it was still in his hand. Ravenna sat beside him.
Jackson blinked, totally forgetting he had the ice in his hand. "Yeah.. sorry." he said handing it to her and then thumbed through the channels.
"It's okay." Ravenna said, taking the ice and putting it back to her cheek. She watched him flip through the channels. She wasn't exactly sure why she had a Tv in her room, she rarely watched it.
"You need to get a new Tv, this one hardly has any channels." Jackson said until he landed on something good on CMT.
"No, I don't." Ravenna said. "You just need to not be so picky."
Jackson looked at her with a bit of a grin on his face "I'm not being picky, plus the screens so small.." he said, taking off his old classes (which he doesn't need anymore) and acting like you couldn't see.
Ravenna groaned. "Seriously. Stop complaining. If you want to watch Tv, do it in the family room." she said looking over at him.
Jackson rose an eye brow whenever she said that but decided not to comment. He looked back to the Tv and kept his mouth shut and eyes on the tv.
Ravenna sighed and got up. She went to the bathroom and looked at her cheek. Dark purple. "Lovely." she mumbled sarcastically to herself.
Jackson glanced at her whenever she was walking into the bathroom but looked back to the Tv. He knew it would leave a mark on her cheek.
Ravenna sighed and went to the kitchen, dumping the ice and water out of the bag and threw it away.
Jackson sighed softly and got out of bed and headed downstairs. He tried to be a little noisy coming down so he wouldn't scare Ravenna. "What's wrong." he asked, rasing a single brow.
"Nothing's wrong.." Ravenna answered him. "Except the world." she finished under her breath. Ravenna took a deep breath and opened the fridge, grabbing a can do soda and popping it open.
Jackson eyes furrowed even more whenever she said that. He quickly grabbed her hand whenever she was opening it. "There's nothing wrong with the world, just the people in it." he looked at her seriously.
Ravenna blinked, cocking her head slightly. "How did you hear that?" she asked him. She knew she had said that quietly enough so that he couldn't hear her.
"You said it out loud, Ravenna. I'm not deaf." Jackson said, feeling slightly hesitant as he pulled away, not meaning to grab her like that.
"I can understand that but I didn't say it that loud. I meant for you to not hear it." Ravenna said, losing interest in her soda and putting it down on the counter.
Jackson shrugged, playing it cool "Well obviously you didn't say it low enough. But why wouldn't you want me to hear that?" he asked her curiously, changing the subject the best that he could.
Ravenna sighed agitatedly and scowled at him, ignoring his question. "You're hiding something." she said before walking past him and going upstairs. She went into her room and laid down on the bed.
Jackson ran a hand through his hair, a little relieved that she didn't keep pushing him. He picked up her soda and headed upstairs behind her and leaned against her door "I'm not hiding anything from you, Ravenna." he said softly.
Ravenna got off her bed and locked the door before sitting in the middle of the room on her floor. She didn't answer him. "Why did my parents hire you to protect me?" she asked him through the door. Ravenna had never known that before.
"Because they were just afraid that you would get hurt being home alone and all. Plus in case you needed help and didn't have anyone else." Jackson said simply.
Ravenna nodded, even though Jackson couldn't see her. Ravenna sighed and climbed on her bed and under the covers. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
