OH and Deirdre, did you know they now have Plants Vs Zombie slot machines? They are lots of fun too :o)

ooo no I did not know about the slot machines that's awesome! My favorite is the gargantuan zombie who uses another zombie to smash plants!

That's really clever! Which charity does the march benefit? I think Douglas Adams would be proud :)

They pick a new local charity every year. Here is a link to their facebook page.

ZombieMar..." lol I love the flyers that you can put into wedding invitations! Sadly, I'm nowhere near Iowa, but I'll definitely repost it on FB for any of my friends who are.

There is a zombie run at the end of this month. I think its a 5k...my family signed up as zombies. We've never had one before so im mot sure exactly how it goes down but it should be fun.

My bff went to a zombie marathon and she said it was awesome! It was held in this creepy forest with an open path to run on. Zombies jumped out all the time from old shacks and stuff. At the end she had to climb through this barbwire electric fence that was turned on!!!

lol those are awesome! Your poor pup though!
Those pics are fantastic...
I can't believe I forgot about Plants vs Zombies!
One of our favourite weekend activities - something we do when we're super stressed or just really need a break - is to have a zombie movie marathon. We buy fancy snacks like Brie and Camembert and pate and settle in after the kids go to bed. Last week was rough, as was this past weekend, so this might be on tap this weekend...

We were given 3 "lives" in the form of velcro flags. It was fun but alas, I was turned about 1 mile in. :)
Next year, we want to do the Run for Your Lives 5k which involves obstacles as well as zombies chasing after you.

Easily the best thing I've ever done, and my favourite part of University :)

Dead Island and Dead Rising were fun too.

I still play Left 4 Dead 2 sometimes and it is still way too much fun.
I'll also mention Plants vs. Zombies because it is such an awesome game as well!

I had one about zombie kittens, one where I was a zombie, one where whenever I died from zombie attack I instantly respawned as someone else and started over, etc etc etc

Me neither Elizabeth! haha. Next years theme is broadway musicals. I think we might go as zombie Mary Poppins and the chimney sweep Bert. Should be interesting!

Sounds interesting. Could you turn that into a book, would make interesting reading Jess

Haha, which one? Zombie cats? While it might make an amusing short story or something, I doubt I could turn it into a novel :)

Zombie graphic novels- Walking Dead
Zombie movies- 28 Days Later (Considered infected but whatever.)
Zombie novels- Blood Crazy
I also enjoyed Left 4 Dead video game and The Walking Dead television show. Also Talltales Walking Dead game series was very good.
I do realize the zombies in The Last of Us aren't traditional zombie but that game was fantastic and worth mentioning.
There is something for everyone who is interested in zombie entertainment. All of the above was my favorite moments because they were all great stories and experiences in my life.

So, books, movies, activities - what's the most fun you've had? What puts a smile on your face, or brings you joy?
One of my favourite zombie "things" is a picture I have of a pair of zombified gingerbread cookies a friend made for me. It makes me grin every time I look at it, and it's my cover photo on Facebook every time Christmas rolls around.
I'm a graphic novel fan, so I also got a great deal of happiness out of the Marvel Zombies series. It wasn't the best thing I've ever read - but it was FUN.
How about you?
