ooo plants vs zombies for sure. My daughter wants to dress up as one of the zombies from the game (she's 6). One of my friends took me to a zombie pub crawl one year around halloween, that was a blast. I loved seeing everyone's makeup. And when I used to work as a bartender, a Zombie was my favorite drink to make, probably because at my bar we used to light the 151 on fire and that's always fun.
Ok I almost want to agree with Deirdre, Plants Vs Zombies is one of the greatest zombie games ever. It's funny as hell and it can be played with someone as well which is cool. My favorite zombie is the one with the newspaper that has his pants fall down around his ankles...I swear they need to make a Plants Vs Zombies movie big time. The other really fun zombie thing has to be reading Death Troopers which is a Star Wars/zombie novel. I mean the best of two awesome things smashed together, how awesome. I haven't read the sequel Red Harvest yet but did read the opening and I look forward to that one as well :O)OH and Deirdre, did you know they now have Plants Vs Zombie slot machines? They are lots of fun too :o)
I have fun writing about zombies! But also, my wife and I love to go the an annual zombie march. There is a different theme every year. This year the theme is 'space'. I'm sure there will be a bunch of Star Trek and Star Wars zombies. We will be going as Arthur and Trillian zombies (from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) Yea...we're nerds like that. But it's awesome because it's a fun time, we walk through downtwon Iowa City and end up at a bar and grill, where they hand out prizes for the best costumes. The best thing about it is it's a MARCH not a walk, meaning it's for charity. Zombies for a good cause!

yeah gargantuan zombie is pretty awesome too. My favorite item to use is Squashy. I actually found a little stuffed Squashy on Amazon at one point and they even made some action figures from the game at one point.
I too love plants vs zombies. my 4 year old is obssessed with zombies too but she wont play plants vs zombies alone otherwise she gets scared. She has no problem playing a game where you just shoot them though. There is a zombie run at the end of this month. I think its a 5k...my family signed up as zombies. We've never had one before so im mot sure exactly how it goes down but it should be fun.
@MeganMy bff went to a zombie marathon and she said it was awesome! It was held in this creepy forest with an open path to run on. Zombies jumped out all the time from old shacks and stuff. At the end she had to climb through this barbwire electric fence that was turned on!!!

I can't believe I forgot about Plants vs Zombies!
One of our favourite weekend activities - something we do when we're super stressed or just really need a break - is to have a zombie movie marathon. We buy fancy snacks like Brie and Camembert and pate and settle in after the kids go to bed. Last week was rough, as was this past weekend, so this might be on tap this weekend...
zombie movie marathon sounds fun. Heck we have those and zombie game marathons. My son gave up on Resident Evil on the Game Cube. That creepy zombie in the beginning, munching on the dude, really creeped him out...I even showed him how to take him out quickly...He went back to playing his Cars game :O)

My daughter and I completed a 5k last month called Zombie Run.We were given 3 "lives" in the form of velcro flags. It was fun but alas, I was turned about 1 mile in. :)
Next year, we want to do the Run for Your Lives 5k which involves obstacles as well as zombies chasing after you.
I founded a zombie society at my university, which allows me to run events like movie screenings, Humans vs Zombies NERF battles, debates, talks, and various collaborations with other societies like Zombie First Aid, Zombie Combat (Karate), all night movie marathons, and more!Easily the best thing I've ever done, and my favourite part of University :)
White Belt Writing this! And also sneaking up behind my husband during scary moments in the Walking Dead. He is 6'5, 300+lbs but still gets terrified when watching zombie flicks lol.
After college I spent a year writing zombie stories. That was solidly the best year of my life so far. Beyond that, various movies and the game Zombies!!!! can be a lot of fun with a good group.Dead Island and Dead Rising were fun too.
The most fun I've had with zombies would be Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2! It was back in 2008 - I was reading a book and my sister was playing Left 4 Dead on my computer. She asked me to step in and play for her (I think she had to answer the phone or something) and well, I totally got addicted to it (and zombies). ;) I still play Left 4 Dead 2 sometimes and it is still way too much fun.
I'll also mention Plants vs. Zombies because it is such an awesome game as well!
Last month my wife and I attended a zombie march in Iowa City for the second year in a row. They do a theme every year, and this year the theme was "Space"...(zombie buzz light year, zombie star trek, etc;) We went as Arthur Dent and Trillian from 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'. It was a blast!

Usually whenever I go on a zombie binge fest (whether movies, TV show, books, or a mix) I tend to have dreams about zombies in one way or another. Sometimes the dreams are really entertaining.I had one about zombie kittens, one where I was a zombie, one where whenever I died from zombie attack I instantly respawned as someone else and started over, etc etc etc

There's a short story out called Zombie Squirrel. Haven't seen one on cats either...

I also enjoyed Left 4 Dead video game and The Walking Dead television show. Also Talltales Walking Dead game series was very good.
I do realize the zombies in The Last of Us aren't traditional zombie but that game was fantastic and worth mentioning.
There is something for everyone who is interested in zombie entertainment. All of the above was my favorite moments because they were all great stories and experiences in my life.

So, books, movies, activities - what's the most fun you've had? What puts a smile on your face, or brings you joy?
One of my favourite zombie "things" is a picture I have of a pair of zombified gingerbread cookies a friend made for me. It makes me grin every time I look at it, and it's my cover photo on Facebook every time Christmas rolls around.
I'm a graphic novel fan, so I also got a great deal of happiness out of the Marvel Zombies series. It wasn't the best thing I've ever read - but it was FUN.
