Erin | 33 comments There must have been a lot of Scholastic books dealing with blind children? Thanks.

Cornelia Shields | 52 comments This was one of those after school special-type TV movies.

Erin | 33 comments Perhaps, but it was also a book. The couple meet in a doughnut shop at one point.

Meredith (mcgraced) | 81 comments Is there a scene where he takes a taxi while blindfolded and realizes he has no way to differentiate his money? (Then later learns of a folding technique?)

Check this list; you may come across more books you've read on blindness/vision impairment.

bookel | 4027 comments Also yes it was also an after school special. Never seen those sadly.

Erin | 33 comments bkl - easy for YOU, maybe! =) That's the one. Thank you!

And, yes, Meredith. I had forgotten about that scene until you mentioned it.

bookel | 4027 comments Easy because I'd read the book and it's a keeper. :)

What I liked most was it said in effect (not these words) blindfolding is not exactly what it's like as that's only short term. People who become blind learn to adapt and use alternate techniques, etc.

Meredith (mcgraced) | 81 comments It refreshed my memory, as I'd forgotton all about it until you brought it up. thx!r
