And lots of other books to read. :o) I had a book located here in GR after it had been posted for 3 years. And I've a few that I'm still waiting to find.

Leonie (leonierogers) | 59 comments I have a vague memory of reading a book like that when I was a kid. From memory the girl had measles - does that ring a bell?

message 54: by Leonie (new)

Leonie (leonierogers) | 59 comments Maybe try http://patricialeitch.ponymadbooklove...

Girl is called Jinny, horse is called Shantih

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments No, not it. I remember seeing this series a few months ago, when I was looking for the book, and not finding it, on this website. Thanks for trying!

Railyn (funky-rat) | 243 comments I left a message at a forum for horse books. These people seem to know their stuff. We'll see if I get a response.

Railyn (funky-rat) | 243 comments Ok. The people at the forum are trying. One remembers a book about a girl locked in a trailer but she can't remember it off the top of her head (but will look). Several people think you may be combining two books accidentally, as many of these books are in series, and if not, have similar plotlines, etc.

They think one book you may be thinking of is this one:

Girl hurts her arm in this book and, takes food to another rider who is hiding for various reasons.

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments Not it's not it. I'm pretty sure it was only one book. I don't remember it being part of a series but, if it was then it was the only book in the series that the library had and the only one I read.

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments I am still looking for this book.

Railyn (funky-rat) | 243 comments Ok. Try this one. Also from the forum people:

Secret Stock by Toy Martin. It's not on Goodreads.

message 61: by Jesse (last edited Mar 17, 2014 09:13PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments Ok, I managed to find a summary of it online (http://www.janebadgerbooks.co.uk/aust...). It has some similar elements but it's not it. Thank you for trying.

Railyn (funky-rat) | 243 comments The Jane Badger Books website has a forum - that's where I've been asking. Maybe you would want to join and take over the thread I started.

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments Ok. What's the link to the thread?

message 64: by Railyn (new)

Railyn (funky-rat) | 243 comments Here it is. You will probably fit in very well over there. Good luck, and if you ever figure it out, please post, because I'm now very curious to see what it was:

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments This is not likley it, but maybe something in the description will trigger more memories about your book.
A Horse Called September A Horse Called September by Anne Digby

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments It's not it, and it didn't work to trigger more memories, but thank you for trying.

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments I am still looking for this book.

Olivia | 9 comments I haven't really looked into this book that much but maybe it could be it. It's called A Girl and five Brave Horses

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments That's a good book, but no it is not the one I am looking for. Thanks for trying.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Riding the Wind Riding the Wind by Barbara Garland Polikoff ?

On the Google books page, you can search a little bit in the book. I used the word "broken" and the preview shows a part about the main character having a broken wrist.

http://books.google.com/books?id=FT2u...

And, I searched using "vest" and an excerpt about the mother making the girl wearing a vest popped up

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments That's it! That's it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments Yeah! Thanks again. My library doesn't have this book anymore, but I found a copy on MeLCat and ordered it. I am so excited to read it again, when it arrives.

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) OMIGOD!!! Solved at last???

Amazing! I tell ya I have been so sick of seeing this horse book hanging here soooo long...season after season...this nutty girl who just would not leave the crazy horse-trailer...

Hallelujiah!! Glad to see her finally on her way!

Big props and kudos to Tab!

Jesse Freedom (neigh) | 249 comments I received this book yesterday and have already re-read it. It was awesome! There was a little flaw in my memory though. After Lila (the horse) get's hurt in an accident while Sage (girl #2) is riding her, Sage locks herself in an old bus, not a horse trailer. Anyway, there were parts I remembered and parts that I didn't. This book was published the month before I was born!
