R.I.P. Frederik Pohl

Sad news this afternoon, Science Fiction author, editor, agent, and fan Frederik Pohl, 93, has died.

Mr. Pohl was author of The Space Merchants (which we discussed this July), Gateway (winner of the Hugo, Nebula, Campbell & Locus awards) and the sequel Heechee novels, among many others. In 1993 the SFWA named him a Grandmaster, and he was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 1998.

Very missed. The Heechee Saga was fantastic to read. The movie was bad

Sad. I've read many of his books. A genuine titan in the Science Fiction field who is too often overlooked by today's younger generation.

In his 90s he still maintained a blog (that was good enough to be in my rss feed) and got another book published. Sad to lose another great SF talent.

How about Man Plus? I was a fan but never read many of his books. I think I will have a closer look at his work.
