Sad news this afternoon, Science Fiction author, editor, agent, and fan Frederik Pohl, 93, has died.

Mr. Pohl was author of The Space Merchants (which we discussed this July), Gateway (winner of the Hugo, Nebula, Campbell & Locus awards) and the sequel Heechee novels, among many others. In 1993 the SFWA named him a Grandmaster, and he was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 1998.

Bart Hill | 11 comments Sad. I've read many of his books. A genuine titan in the Science Fiction field who is too often overlooked by today's younger generation.
