Romance book where the male lead's name is Jake and he's a player?

I read a synopsis of a book like that recently. I know it's not much to go on but it's all I can remember. I do remember in the synopsis that the author put a note from the male lead character saying he wasn't such a bad guy or something along these lines. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
