Books are one of those amazing things that truly have no age limit; regardless of what they're labelled as.

This being said, if you think you are mature enough and at the reading level to contently read and enjoy the Splintered series, don't let anyone tell you no! But if you find yourself uncomfortable, seriously confused, or if you just aren't enjoying yourself--then it might be an idea to put the book down and wait for a more appropriate time.

It's all up to you!
Hope this has helped; happy reading!

Hi Katty! Are you asking if you should be reading these threads, or the books themselves? Because sometimes the threads can get a little PG. LOL. Not too bad though!

As for the books, Sydney gave a really great answer, but I would have to also say that since the recommended age is 14 and up, just make sure your parents don't mind you reading them.

There isn't any really bad language or mature scenes, but sometimes the story lines and relationships can get a little complex. But I have received lots of fan mails from 11 year olds, so you're not the first to read them. ;)

Nice to meet you!

P.S. Pinterest is a social network where users post pictures or videos to their boards (i.e. a collection of 'pins,' usually with a common theme) and check out other pinterest user's boards. Here's the Splintered book boards, as an example: http://www.pinterest.com/splinteredbook/

Yay! I'm 14 so the age qualifies in "14 and u0p" jahabhahaha

message 124: by Katty (new)

Katty | 4 comments Thank you. I am happy that i can read this. Although the age may be 14 and up, i got my hair cut yesterday and look like a 14 year old according to my mom. Plus, i go to the best school in my state, so i think i am mature enough. I mean, i don't get confused with the storyline, so i think i am good. Once again, thank you @A.G. and @Sydney.

Poor Dani owo

I started reading Harry Potter in 1st grade... My mom got all worried because it says that they're recommended for 'older teens'.

PFFT NOPE

Honestly, it's not like anything *happens* in Splintered/Unhinged (other than the table dance, which freaked out my lil sis XD)

Sydney (netherling) | 170 comments Oh my gosh. I loved the table dance. I've reread it a few times; I love me a take control, sassy Alyssa :3

I read Harry Potter when I was 11...so, ineveitably, I was horribly disappointed when my Hogwarts letter didn't come :c
..still waiting, though I'll be 17 in less than a month (;

...
I have the most pathetic Hogwarts letter story, LOL!
I wrote (copied) the entire letter from the book- including the books necessary ;) the night before my birthday.

Then I put it in an envelope and addressed it to myself Hogwarts style. My friend came over the next day with her own version of the Hogwarts letter XD!

But I guess I made up for it a bit by making an absolutely perfect(down to the fonts) copy for my sister on her 11th B-day! :)

You are awesome.

And if you consider yourself the grandma of the group, then how old are you? Because I'm almost 20.
