Why I wrote "Becoming Alice, A Memoir"

I had no intention of writing a memoir. Not until my grandson interviewed me for a paper he was writing on the Holocaust. He got an A and my son-in-law said my story was so interesting he stayed for the entire hour and a half interview. Afterward I thought, if "he" was taken by my story, perhaps others would be, too.
