Stephanie Plum Series

What do you read to fill the time???

She has a few books in a series-called Welcome to Temptation. Also has several stand alones that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Another good one is Lisa Lutz Spellman Series.
It is only 11 more days till 15 is released!!!!!

I do agree that there hasn't been an another author quite in the same vein as Evanovich though. No other series books have hooked me so well on the characters and situations, or made me laugh so hard.

Another book that I liked was Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews. It is more of a romance, but it is funny too.

I also dig the Flower Shop series!

I just got the first one from the Library the other day... I am looking forward to reading it :)

I agree that if you like Janet Evanovich Jennifer Crusie books are perfect for you. Also all of Susan Elizabeth Phillip books are FANTASTIC

by Alice Kimberly was very good. She also writes a coffee shop mystery series, but I haven't read them yet.
Does anyone know what's on Janet Evanovich's "TO READ" list??? Might be interesting to read what she's reading.

In recent interviews and Q&A's she has stated she doesn't have the time to read anything but Scrooge McDuck comic books!?!?

I have all but 2 of the series in audiobook and I listen to them constantly! I start at the beginning, listen to 'One for the Money' and on up through to 'Finger Lickin Fifteen', hop on over to the in-between-the-number novels (and sometimes I take a leap over to the Barney series). And when I've listened to them all....so much time has passed since the first one that I start it all over again.:) I'm addicted!

I have a really hard time with the books on CD, I find that they take too long and I am not really one for going back and re-reading too many books. I will do it every now and then but it has to be a really good book or for a specific purpose.

I found this book just perusing the shelves at the library and this was really remimiscent of JE-Since You're Leaving Anyway, Take Out the Trash. This is set in a small town, where everyone know everyone and the cast of characters are HILARIOUS!!! There are not many books that make me literally laugh out loud-this was one of them.

Love Elvis Cole and Joe Pike (Crais' characters).

I also LOVE Robert Parker's Jesse Stone series and Sunny Randall series.

What authors does Janet like to read?
Janet reads Betty and Veronica and Donald Duck comic books. Junie B. Jones by Barbara Park is another favorite. And the books stacked at bedside include Amanda Quick, Nora Roberts, Elmore Leonard, Robert Crais, Robert Parker, and Ridley Pearson (if she's feeling brave).

I found all of the Kyra Davis books and loved them! I have never read the other book you mentioned and I will add it to my TBR books - Thanks Leslie.

Thank you so much! On your recommendation I tried the Crais books and they are so great--I love them even more than the Plum books. I have now read all except The First Rule. Wow, I just love Elvis and Joe (and Starkey.)

loved Queen Bee! It was hilarious! I made everyone read it once I finished it.

I also finished Missing in Ink and really liked it. But I have to stay, it obviously wasn't as good as Evanovich, but it came pretty darn close.

Jess, it's my goal in this lifetime to read a book (that we share interest in) before you!! LOLOLOLOL
One day...

Yea I have read all of the in death series, i also read diane motts davidson or sandra brown

LOL! I'm sure you have read a few before me!!

Loved faking it - excellent author

Oh yeah, I love Robert Crais also, but his books aren't really like Janet Evanovich. They're more serious and while Elvis Cole has a witty sense of humor, it's definately not Plum Humor.
