Ah, Matched. I skipped that one, because I hate love triangles.

What'd you think?"I did read the other books in the quartet, after the third time I read The Giver. I liked them, and I'm glad I read them, though I don't think they're as good as the first one. I thought Son was especially interesting where it was telling the events of The Giver from Claire's perspective. The only things that really bugged me about that book were the minor inconsistencies. When you write a sequel twenty years after the first book, it's a good idea to go back and review the details. :)
I might try Matched sometime. I'm pretty sure my library has it. Is it clean? I'm very particular about that sort of thing.
Hi I'm Tessa and am very excited to be in this group
What's up Freaks. Jesus Freaks, that is.My parents and their best friends decided their kids names would be either David or Michael. Michael was born first, so I've been writing under the name David Allen ever since.
Some medical records even show first lines of Charles Dickins novels scratched into the interior walls of my Mother's uterus, but hey - I was a zygote.
If you go to my profile, you'll see a recent picture of me. Any more recent, and it wouldn't be flattering.
Don't let it fool you, though. In person I am full color!
What books can you get from me? Empowering fiction that is Christian influenced. There is usually a big idea or takeaway designed to improve your life.
Sci-Fi, Action, Drama, Thrillers - if you like these, I think we'll get along just fine.
Thanks for being so welcoming!

Hello everyone! I'm Lesley. An ex-journalist, Jesus Freak who has spent the last two years living through an amazing experience with God. I love to read and watch the Classics, write, spend time with God, cuddle with my animals (2 dogs and 3 cats...UGH! I have so many animals), Vlog, and I'm just learning all of this Social Media stuff so please be patient with me!! :) It's been really fun though!
'ello, guys and gals! I'm Ashley, I'm a Jesus Freak, and I'm a writer, soooo... here I am. ; ) I love writing, reading, singing Broadway show tunes, playing the piano and violin, and watching movies. I'm a fangirl, too. Heh...heh... I'm currently on a dystopian kick, but I'll read anything and everything I can get my hands on.Also, shameless plug: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Friend me! I love my Goodreads peeps.
Anyway, looking forward to being here!!!

Hello, Ashley. Nice to meet you. Or, um, nice to see you here too. :D Fangirling violinist and Broadway lover who likes dystopian. Never would have guessed. :)
Ashley wrote: "Haha, Morgan... you know me too well. ; )"I know. We're like, twins separated at birth or something...except that we don't really look alike. :)

Hahaha... Yep.
Ocean(my name)Girlie(gender)15(age)Hello all! Lena invited me to this group cause she is awesome like that, inviting others. Well, I am a follower of Christ! In other words a Christian. I love to read books because it takes me away to different places and I get to meet new characters. So hopefully I can be very active in this group and have fun. :) God bless you children of God!!!!!
"Ocean 15" sounds like a great movie title!!!! ;-) (My family really enjoyed the Ocean's Eleven movie, so that may influence my perspective a bit... ;-) ) Welcome aboard, Ocean! :-)
Hi everyone! I'm Erin (and new to Goodreads, ha ha, so I'm still learning my way around here.) I'm a writer and enjoy books, movies, gaming, and chocolate. I'm also currently wishing I lived in Florida because there's way too much snow outside. :) It's nice to meet everyone!
Welcome, Erin! Could you send some of that snow my way? ;) haha! We're glad you joined us, and welcome to goodreads as well!
Lena wrote: "Welcome, Erin! Could you send some of that snow my way? ;) haha! We're glad you joined us, and welcome to goodreads as well!"Ha ha, feel free to take as much snow as you want! :) We have plenty to spare!
And thanks for the welcome, everyone! :)

Hi Morgan, sorry it took so long to reply, I didn't get a notification that you replied.
Yes the Match series is clean -- I am particular about that too. It's been a while since I've read it but cuss words-wise I highly doubt there are any at all but not 100% because I can't remember about the third book. And love story-wise, it's clean.
It's sometimes hard to find books nowadays because of those reasons.
Again, sorry I didn't respond sooner!
Sydney
P.S. Yes I found Son (giver series) book interesting but like you said it had things missing and still added more questions plus I didn't like how (view spoiler)

What'd you think?"..."That's fine, I kind of forgot about it myself. I'll probably try Matched sometime, but I have a massive stack of books to read on the bottom shelf of my bookshelf, and even more on my kindle. There aren't many books I'm dying to read right now, so I might actually read them. Though I am rereading Elsie's Womanhood, so...

Morgan wrote: "Sydney wrote: "Morgan wrote: "Sydney wrote: "Yes I have read it - and I really liked it! I've read the other four as well. (Jonas is great!) - Have you read the fourth book of The Giver series? Wha..."Yeah (about Giver). I have been trying to find a good book lately, was looking at some cozy mysteries in the bookstore. I haven't been able to find something different in young adult, they kinda seem all the same lately but who knows, I'll go back soon and find something.
Resistance by Jaye L. Knight is going on sale on kindle for 99 cents tomorrow. It's fantasy, but it has a sort of dystopian feel to it. It's one of my favorite books, it's just been passed by the yet unpublished next books in the series.
Morgan wrote: "Actually, my mistake, the sale starts today. It's only for 5 days."I actually don't have a kindle lol. But I see it's available on Amazon.com in Paperback so once I get a list going to buy I have it on my list, it looks interesting, thanks for the recommendation! :)
You're welcome. You can get a free kindle app for most devices. But it's definitely worth the paperback. I have a specially signed copy. She has a PayPal button on her website for that.
Oh that's so cool! I love it when an author I like signs my book! One of my favorite authors Eva Ibbotson, has five books that I love and I had always wanted to meet her but unfortunately she passed away four years ago.
I really want to meet Jaye (her real name and previous penname is Molly), but since she lives in Wisconsin, I have to content myself with email and Facebook messages...for now, anyway.
Yeah but who knows, one day you could meet :) it's always fun meeting authors, you never know what to expect.
I think I'd know what to expect with Molly, I've gotten to know her pretty well over the last year and a half. She's the one who helped me to get published, besides being my favorite living author. (That's so I don't have to decide to let her replace C. S. Lewis. :) ) I'm really hoping someday we'll get to meet in person.
Hi, everyone! I'm a long-time reader and blogger who will be publishing my first Christian book in the next couple of weeks. You can check out my blog at http://waynenalljr.blogspot.com/ where I recently finished reviewing Sharyl Attkisson's great book Stonewalled: One Reporter's Fight for Truth in Obama's Washington. I enjoy reading books on history, culture, politics, and religion. Looking forward to hearing from other Christian writers here!
