It is 7:30 and I was supposed to work today but last night my job was cancelled. I was a bit annoyed since I crammed so many things into two days thinking I wouldn't have today to do errands. My husband is home today because of the Jewish holiday and we have some things to do together for our trip in a couple of weeks so the day will be well spent I'm sure even if I don't earn any money.

Happy autumn. It is now 2;45 and I am listening to the last disk of my audio book, 44 Charles Street by Danielle Steel. I am also on the computer as you can see. I just came home from shopping for some items for me but found nothing. I am working tomorrow so I will relax till Bruce returns home from the city and we have dinner.
6 PM EST: Getting ready for dinner, just soup and salad tonight as neither of us want to go out or cook.
It's 7:14 and Bruce isn't home yet so I'm going to grab something leftover from lunch yesterday and watch the Emmy awards. Kind of funny since I hardly watch any TV but still I like to see people dressed up and live vicariously these days.
So, it's 11:40 on a grey monday morning. I just did some shopping and now Im going to watch bones. I love having some time off!
It's 6:22 and I am about to get ready for work. I lucked out this week - few plans during the day and I hoped to work Monday through Thursday which is what happened.
12:16 AM and I'm taking advantage of being relatively headache free to catch up on bookclub threads before heading to bed. I've had severe head pain for the last couple days and haven't been able to do much that required focused vision. Thank heavens for audiobooks or I would have been bored out of my mind!

it is now almost 7 am here and I am gearing up for a busy day. Tennis in the morning, the dentist in the afternoon, dinner with a friend and then a movie at our Temple based on a families escape from the Nazi's. Tomorrow I will need to rest. LOL

I don't have the name here but the Director of the McCarter Theater in NJ tells the story of his grandmother's life during the Nazi regime.
So it's about 8:40 in the evening and I just got home. I had to say goodbye to my best friend, who moved across the country today. That was kinda hard. I wish her all the best and I know we will still be so good friends, but I'll just miss her like crazy. And I know, 700 miles are not that much, but still, thats 695 miles more than it had been yesterday. So Im not in the best mood, so I will take a hot bath and hope my number one book-chrush Mr Darcy can cheer me up a little!

It is almost 8 here and I am about to leave to meet a friend for breakfast and then a lecture and discussion on the fate of Israel. The movie I saw last night was interesting. It was filmed by a family and included reminisces of the 102 year old mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her journey from Vienna to New Jersey. She arrived in NJ on October 31st 1939. What I found equally amazing were the number of men and women whose parents were incarcerated and liberated when the camps were open by the US, Russia and others. These people, some of them my friends are called the Second generation of the Holocaust.

So, yesterday was "The Day of German Reunion" that is a bank holiday in Germany. And today everyone took a day of to enjoy a long weekend, except me, so Im a little lonely in the office..
LaLaLa Laura wrote: "was it a documentary, Nancy? sounds fascinating"Not really - it was more of a family film although the grandson has been thinking about entering it into competitions.
It is 7:30 and I am about to get ready for today. The class I was taking on Friday mornings was a bit too boring for me so I won't be going anymore. One of the perks of being a senior citizen says you don't have to do anything you really don't want to. Instead I will be shopping for shoes and some other items for our trip.
It was more of a lecture on the state of Israel in the year 2013. Interesting to learn of all of the political and social upheavals in a small but powerful nation. Now it is almost 5 and I'm waiting to meet our daughter, have dinner and attend Sabbath services at our Temple.
It's 6:40 pm and I'm grading a test I gave the students a week ago. I want to give it to them tomorrow to show that I'm always prepared with their work (even though I wasn't and am not). It is called doing things at the last minute.
its around 10:50 pm and thinking about the long crazy day I had. I swear if I have another day like this I am going to uproot a mighty oak!
9:24 am Busy day not looking forward to discussing my aunt's will with her boyfriend, we have to take my aunt's belongings.
LaLaLa Laura wrote: "oh that's difficult. how did it go?"Not well. He doesn't want to let go of a few items that are willed to my cousin.
LaLaLa Laura wrote: "oh no that just be a very difficult thing to deal with"Yes it is. He's made my cousin sick with emotions. I can understand his predicament but I can't believe someone would deny a person of their loved one's family heirlooms.
