call me crazy but I just adore King. He will be a great and exciting part in The One. Kiera has done a splendid job in making him as bad as he is :)

Yes, I also think the King is SO irritating. I can't say I adore him for it, but I agree Kiera did a great job of creating him.
i think that he fits the mold really well on what we expect from a leader/kind/dictator in dystopian style books. he's got the level of cunning and sly-ness that makes you hate him, yet you knwo that he's has his own agenda and that's why he is the way that he is. i also really want to get to his softer side with his wife, which i kind of doubt that we'll ever see.

He must be nice then as queen amberly fell in love with him

Probably true. Maybe we'll have a sneak peek in their relationship *wink wink*

I totally agree. I like him but I hate him at the same time. I did expect him to be somewhat like he is. He is very intimidating and I imagine people like kings to somewhat look down on people who didn't grow up behind the palace walls, like they are animals. I really like him as a character though.
I think he's going to play a big role in The One, like you said; still, I don't like him. He's so biased against America; it irks me.

He clearly sees that his son likes her, may even marry her and she jus jumped up in front of everyone revealing a banned book that that would destroy his entire country

Yes, but even before that he was treating her terribly simply because she was a Five. And when the King was to interview the Elites he didn't even talk to her and that too was before the incident. Though America revealing a banned book didn't help her case any.

True. I think if he wasn't raised with those harsh beliefs then maybe he'd be a good person, or at least a tolerable one.
I got so mad(happy)when he talked to america at the end of the elite,I hope he going to be awesome in third book making a bid twist would be exciting to see.
