Dustin (tillos) | 365 comments This is sort of a spin off from my 'protagonists that you hate' thread.

Instead I'm asking if there are minor characters that should get their own book?

Michele | 1154 comments In LotR I always wondered about what happened to the Entwives.

The history of Bob the skull in the Dresden files. Or maybe Toot Toot fights a tiny fairy war for a pizza shop.

In Connie Willis time travel land, I'd like Mr. Dunworthy and Finch to have an adventure in time.

Christopher Preiman | 347 comments I actually do think the entwives did end up in the area around the shire. On one ocasion they meantion the trees attacking. And that got me thinking of what treebeard said about trees becoming entish, and about the shire being the kind of place the entwives would have liked.

Micah (onemorebaker) | 1071 comments I'm in the middle of The Mistborn triology right now and I would love to see the members of "the crew" get their own book or two.

Thane | 476 comments Empire State: Tales of the Skyguard and Science Pirate.

Dara (cmdrdara) | 2702 comments Also spinning off on The Name of the Wind, I really loved Devi. At least a short story about her would be awesome. And Elodin.

Some good ones I'd also be interested have been mentioned already.

I'm having trouble with coming up with my own. So I'll just second Michelle's suggestion of Bob the Skull.

Maybe something else will occur to me later..

Dharmakirti | 942 comments I would love a novel/sereis devoted to the adventures of Quick Ben from the Malazan universe.

Thirded.

(There's a line in an episode of the tv series that's always snagged at my curiousity. Something like "the story of Rothbert and Winifred is a legend in some places.")

message 12: by Daran (new)

Daran | 599 comments Bob the Skull is a good one. In the same series, I've also thought there's a good story for Warden Donald Morgan, or how Michael Carpenter became a knight.

I'm going to have to think about other series. I've said "I'd like to see this person in their own series" so often, I'm blanking now.

Or Shiro. Really anything about the Knights of the Cross.

message 14: by Phil (new)

Phil | 1456 comments I think Silk from the Belgariad would be a good protagonist for his own story.

message 15: by Jeff (new)

Jeff Gass | 36 comments Tool from shipbreaker and the drowned cities. He wasn't a minor character but I just want a Tool focused book.

message 16: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Clark | 35 comments it might sound weird but I kind of want to see a book about a Hogwarts student who isn't special and doesn't go on adventures they just go to class and do normal wizard stuff

Dara (cmdrdara) | 2702 comments Andrew wrote: "it might sound weird but I kind of want to see a book about a Hogwarts student who isn't special and doesn't go on adventures they just go to class and do normal wizard stuff"

I'd read that.

message 18: by Daran (new)

Daran | 599 comments I wouldn't mind reading "Luna Lovegood and the Search for the Crumple Horned Snorkack."

Silk is second to Polgara as my favorite Belgariad character.

RIP David and Leigh Eddings.

message 20: by Kayla (new)

Kayla I'd love to read a book about Bast from Name of the Wind, or Auri.

I'm In

message 22: by Dara (new)

Dara (cmdrdara) | 2702 comments I'd read an entire series devoted to Luna Lovegood.

Also my iPhone corrected "entire" to "nature" which makes me think I'd love a series about Luna going on nature adventures looking for mythical creatures her father featured in The Quibbler.

I would love to hear the Lovegoods as narrators in a nature series. Their take on the "Natural" world would make it very interesting.

message 24: by Mpauli (new)

Mpauli I would read an entire book about Iskaral Prust from the Malazan Book of the Fallen, as well as a novel solely dedicated to Hood from the same series.

I'd also like to learn more about Euron Crow's Eye's (ASoIaF) excursions into the east.

Mark (mndrew) | 31 comments Krager from Brust's Vlad Taltos series shouts out for his own book.
Morley Doates from Glen Cook's Garrett Chronicles; or perhaps The Dead Man.
And lastly Bob, from The Dresden Files; although that one would likely qualify for the Vaginal Fantasy club.

I'd huddle around my Wizarding Wireless Network to listen!

message 28: by Matthew (new)

Matthew (masupert) | 0 comments Onos T'oolan from the Malazan book of the fallen. I would love to see how he became clanless, how the first ritual went and his adventures afterward.

message 29: by Mike (new)

Mike | 41 comments Snape

message 30: by Dracul (new)

Dracul Draconis | 30 comments I'd like to see a Elaine (you know Dresdens coed) or Molly Carpenter book, but I guess I have to settle for Bombshells(Dangerous Women ftw)...

A Luna Lovegood book/series will be great

message 31: by Dustin (new)

Dustin (tillos) | 365 comments Muldoon from Jurassic Park.

He's a game warden....for dinosaurs!
