30.4. Donna Jo's Task: Elementary Art

Red: Twilight &
Green: Relic (If you enlarge the picture, I think it looks like more than 1/3 green. What do you think?)"

Yay, I was hoping that you would say that!

Thanks, I was more concerned about the fact that the book is an anthology and was unsure how that fit in with pages requirements i.e the whole book is over 300 pages but the stories within are short so there is a fair amount of white space through the book.

Andy, I'll trust you to use your judgement on the amount of white space--is it more than would be normal for at the end of chapters? The fact that it is short stories, per se, is not a problem. I guess the question is, if someone else was using this book would you be outraged that they counted it?

not really. The print is fairly small and there is not a lot of dialogue. I.e. the word count is probably a good bit higher than a James Patterson novel of comparable length.

Go for it.

Chaitra, it's showing up as blue on my screen--both on GR and on other sites. Sorry. It does look good though, so I hope you can fit it in -- maybe 10.8 historical fiction?

thanks!

thanks!"
Okay

Okay"
thanks so much, Donna Jo!

thanks!"
Jecca, my computer makes it look yellow on top and blue on bottom. Even after checking Amazon, Lara's web site, and my library catalog, I'm not seeing green. Can you use the book for another task?

The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann David Wyss.
On the main page children is listed as well as classic, however, it does have over 300 pages. It would qualify either for red(I have read it before) and Yellow (Y in authors name). Will you accept a children's book?

Janet, yes.

Wanda, since this is over 300 pages it should be okay.

Lurid green is good! Wear sunglasses if you need to.

Taking a BIG stack of books both physical and ereader. Hope I get at least one read.

is green around your hand and not much lettering or other colors it'll probably be good. Unless you've got really tiny hands.

Looks good.

Andy, that should work.

Andy, that should work."
Thank you!

As long as it is on the list in B.1 (for Sandy's benefit) and has at least 300 pages. Oops, I just hit the link for this and it doesn't work thanks to U.S. politics. Ana, please use a pretty common fruit--let me know what it is before you read. I'm pretty sure things like apples, pears, bananas, peaches, strawberries, cherries are on the list. Probably pineapple, possibly mangoes, but some stuff like starfruit, dragonfruit, quince, etc are a little too exotic to make the list.

Thanks. I plan on using a common fruit. That's why I asked the link wasn't working.

And does it matter what number the book is on the list?

Thank you for your help

And does it matter what number the book is on the list?"
Still wondering about this.
I've messaged Donna Jo about the unanswered questions in the thread. If she doesn't answer within a few days, I'll answer them.
GR has been very unreliable lately with the red flags for unread messages, so it's not always easy to make sure that all the new questions have been answered.

Aleksandra: Sorry, I hadn't included Shah as one of the words for rulers, so to keep it easier for the mods it won't work.
Alyssa: That list should work. Be sure to include the link to the list and I'd include the number that the book is on the list too. It doesn't matter what number it is.
Skandia: At first I was going to say not green enough, but I was able to get a look at a much larger picture of the cover and I think you can combine enough green to make it. Hope you enjoy the book.
Shawn: That one barely squeeks in, but I'll accept it. Oops, I just noticed this only has 274 pages, so unless your version is longer it won't work for the 300 page requirement.
Again, I appologize for not getting to these in a timely manner.

Thanks!

Shelby, yes,but you must read the whole anthology.

Andy, I'm a little more comfortable with it going for orange. Oh, just got a much larger view of cover and there is more green on it than I thought. So you can use it for either.
