*POSSIBLE SPOILERS??*
didn't you read that Harry did die and so Voldemort was able to be killed.

But without Harry, who knows if anyone would have realized there were others. Or for that matter, who knows if Voldemort would have been able to come back at all(since he took Harry's blood to do it).
My question is, would harry have been able to die so easily?
If he was a horcrux, and the rule for horcruxes was that they had to be destroyed by some specific means like basilisk venom or cursed fire, would he have been able to drown or suffocate or die from falling or any other normal way? Or even from the killing curse, for that matter?

But without Ha..."
Hermione says, in the 7th one, that if she were to kill Ron, his soul wouldn't be damaged at all.
Horcruxes' homes must be damaged beyond all repair for them to be destroyed. Also, the death of an inhabitant does not kill a horcrux unless it is killed by something that damages it beyond all repair.
Thus, Harry's horcrux would have remained undamaged if he died. If Harry had suffocated or drowned, it would be Voldemort kept alive, not Harry. The horcrux is not Harry's- it is Voldemort's, and the horcrux and Harry are two separate things.
I guess the piece of soul kept inside of you does not keep you from dying because everyone in the series who died was not saved by their unsplit souls.
