Ashley (icecheeseplease) Hey everyone! The group has been super slow the past few weeks so if you are reading this book for the month we would love to hear from you!

The book is past it's half way point- how are you liking the story? The plot and character development?

A big thank you to everyone that is participating while Annie is away!

I finished the book and was surprised that I actually enjoyed it.

I hesitated to read it because of the subject matter but it wasn't as sad as I expected. Parts of it was and the general theme of course is sad but the author has made Hazel Grace into someone that doesn't want pity or sadness around her. She even hates support group. Having MS myself, I can totally relate. I don't want to sit with a bunch of people that continually moan about what they cannot do. I just rather get on with it.

I think that the author did a really good job of taking a horrible tragic subject and making it relatable to not only teens but adults alike. I really liked the character of Peter von Hooten as well - very believable and probable. Overall I thought this was a good read.
