question
I hate the characters

I can barely keep reading this book - the main characters have no redeeming qualities. I'm hoping there is something to like in these people. ---- I am about 1/3 through the book and will keep reading until I can stand no more.

I didn't find much at all to like about this book. At first, I thought the characters were interesting, but all except Andy turned out to be too self absorbed. The premise of the book was somewhat interesting -- if only it hadn't gone on and on. I almost gave up on this book several times, and by the time I finished, I wish that I had.
I think the author tried way too hard to be literary. It's a shame that a major publishing house chose to publish this book when there are so many good Indie books out there.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was very funny and intelligent book. The character's are so dysfunctional but that is what I like the most about them. To me they are more like real people...full of humorous imperfections.
I love the chapter that takes place at book party in the art gallery across the street from Andrew's home. I found that chapter very amusing.
