A teen girl named Ariadne, maybe 16, 17, or 18, runs away from a group home where she has been living. She goes back to her home country, which is part of North America, but it has been divided up in a weird way and there is now royalty. Two of the North American countries are at war with each other. When she gets back home, she finds that her mother, a scientist, is in jail for spying and her father is a nervous wreck.
Some prince is visiting and there are all these tabloids linking her and the prince together. She accidentally wears a dress that is pretty much see through. She discovers that her mother really is a spy and she is willing to do anything even hurt her daughter and husband. It ends with her mother being brought to justice and the Prince's bodyguard and her falling in love. The bodyguard punches the Prince so that the tabloids will have a story about the breakup.
I don't know the title or the author. I remember that most of the character names were Greek.

Sounds interesting Jennifer. Was this a romance or adventure with sci-fi elements, since it doesn't seem to have a lot of sci-fi in it.

It was classified as Sci-Fi. The way she was able to find out for certain that her mother was a spy was a thermos with some biological memory storage. She also used a plasma bandage to cover a tattoo that would have proved she was a runaway. She also had an implant in her wrist that allowed her to get news and entertainment.
