Chapter 7: (view spoiler)[Now that I've seen more of Adrian's role in the story and in the series so far, I can see why he is liked by most readers I know. He has this self control and approach that is just convincing and not because he is a spirit user or uses compulsion. Lissa has this aura of easiness as well but it's different with Adrian. Despite his arrogant nature, he is intelligent and mature. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15: (view spoiler)[I sort of don't get it. Ambrose is a dhampir, but he has bite marks so that was enough for him to be discriminated, as that will be the reaction of vampires upon seeing such. And he seems to have something with the queen...but to what extent? I don't get it at all.

I wonder if he'll have an even bigger participation to the story or a depth to his character. (hide spoiler)]

I find myself skimming a lot of the recap. I would be thankful if I wasn't reading them back to back, but since I am it's a bit annoying

chapter 25 wow I just started this today. This book is constantly exciting. I cannot believe I havent read these before!

I'm on Chapter 23 at the moment. So far, I really think this is worth the 5 stars! It's addictive, fast paced and the tension is just palpable! I could feel this deep connection to the characters, even more now with Adrian, Eddie and Christian. As usual, I still find Dimitri perfect. I love how he has a big influence on Rose, and positively in many ways, may I note. (view spoiler)[I could truly see the horrors of being Shadow Kissed now. Being alive for the 2nd time has its consequences and no matter how much Rose wishes to be normal, it's never going to happen. It's terrifying — the effect was intense. It's unstoppable. Finally! I've been waiting for Dimitri to figure their relationship out and now it has finally come true! I'm feeling really giddy! :')

On the other hand, I love how the adults are playing a really large role here. I've been thinking that what if the Strigoi are expecting them? When in fact their target is the Academy, where forces are not that strong? But since it's daylight I'll probably dismiss that possibility. It's expected this book will end in a killer cliffhanger! (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :) I just started Blood Promise. I hope I'll like it, as some of the reviewers I really trust didn't like it.

Just finished the prologue and I noticed there's always a recap of what Moroi and Dhampirs are and a bit of the world building. It's useful, but it's kinda tiring. It's always in every book :|

I've already known it was Sydney. But WTH is an Alchemist? Now I'm curious how she'll play out in Bloodlines. She's a human! But going back, what does she mean by 'internship'? That sounds funny. And why does she know so much about Strigoi? :O

Oh, dear. I think my presumptions after reading Shadow Kiss as written in my review is becoming true. :(

"I figured since Rose left the Academy and off to search for Dimitri, she'll be living in the human world, in which case new characters will probably be introduced and the characters we've spent time with in the previous books will be forgotten. BUT, with Rose's bond with Lissa, she'll be able to know what's happening in the Academy. Now as I see it, I don't view their bond as something of a good side effect of being Shadow Kissed. I view it now as an instrument just to know what happens to Lissa and the Academy and IMO, this is poor. Just my presumptions, though."

New characters are indeed introduced and it felt like a pain in the ass because it seems like starting over again. It's hard to take note of names :( And about Queen Tatiana, I wasn't surprised. Good luck with Lissa handling this without Rose.
