message 205: by Tati (new)

Tati Would anyone be interested in reading The Lost Boys by Lilian Carmine or Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen ?

message 206: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I have stolen songbird, and abbie and I were going to read lost boys together. When we're you thinking of starting?

message 207: by Tati (new)

Tati End of February, though I could squeeze one next week.

message 208: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments I can squeeze the lost boys in whenever. :)

message 209: by Tati (new)

Tati Let's do it at the end of Febraury, then? Would the 24th work for The Lost Boy and then March 1 for the Stolen Songbird?

message 210: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments 24th is fine for me. :)

message 211: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
The first might be difficult for me because I think I'm at my parent's house that weekend. Is there another date you can do? 24th should be okay for lost boys.

message 212: by Tati (new)

Tati I'm completely free in March, Sarah, so feel free to pick a date

message 213: by Rachmi (new)

message 217: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments I just got myself a Netgalley account and want to read some "read now" books to start off. (They are the ones that you can automatically read right?) I have no idea how this works in the slightest but would love to give it a go. Anyone want to read one of the following with me:

Being Hartley by Allison Rushby In the Mirror by Kaira Rouda No One Knows You're Here (No One Knows You''re Here #1) by Rachel Howzell Hall Disconnected by Lisa Cronkhite War of Wings by Tanner McElroy Ever Shade (A Dark Faerie Tale, #1) by Alexia Purdy Riot by Sarah Mussi The Cruelty by S. Bergstrom Devil in the Corner by Patricia Elliott Blood Orange Soda by James Michael Larranaga Bespelled by Dani Kristoff Stones by Polly Johnson Faelorehn (The Otherworld Trilogy, #1) by Jenna Elizabeth Johnson Dragon Defender by J.A. Blackburn Mind Bond by Julie Haydon * A Perfect Mess (A Perfect Secret Series, #1) by Zoe Dawson External Forces (The Laws of Motion #1) by Deborah Rix * Endless by Amanda Gray * The Waking Dreamer (The Waking Dreamer, #1) by J.E. Alexander * Illusion (Dead Ringers #1) by Darlene Gardner

* = really want to read!!

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @Rachel I will read Evershade with you.

message 219: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments @Once Okay. When suits you? Do I just hit the read now button or what?? :)

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @rachel I have no clue I got the book for free on Amazon.

message 221: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments @Once Oh okay. I'll wait 'til Sarah comes on then. She'll know. :)

When do you want to start though? :)

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @Rachel anytime is good for me.

message 223: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments @Once I am free on the 10th. How does that sound?? :)

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @Rachel yeah that works for me.

message 225: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments @Once Awesome. I'll set us up a thread. :)

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @Rachel thanks

message 228: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments @Once All's good. :)

message 229: by Tati (new)

Tati If you hit the read now button, you will be able to download the book immediately. In other words, you don't need to wait for the publisher to decide if you will gain access to the book or not. Once you finish it, you should send your feedback through NetGalley

message 230: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments Thanks Tatiana! Okay, wish me luck. I am going to go download one. :)

message 231: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments Is there a time limit to how long you have it?? :)

message 232: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
no time limit. if you go to your profile though, you will see a little line that says "Recommended Feedback to Approval Ratio is at least 80%. Yours is 100.0%."

every time you click 'read now' and download a book, your ratio goes down, every tiime you submit a review it goes up. you need to try and keep it as close to 100% as you can. that is the point of reading the 'read now' titles, it gets your percentage up, so that publishers know you will read the book and submit a review.

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53670 comments Mod
There is a time limit. It's 55 days. But if you run out of time and the book hasn't been archived yet then you can download it again.

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
Stones by Polly Johnson was okay, but had a pants ending.
Abbie read Riot by Sarah Mussi and it was pretty dull.
Devil in the Corner by Patricia Elliott was pretty bad too.
Disconnected by Lisa Cronkhite was pretty pants.
there was a buddy read for Endless by Amanda Gray a little while ago, and most people gave it 2 stars. darn that pretty cover.

I haven't read Being Hartley by Allison Rushby & A Perfect Mess (A Perfect Secret Series, #1) by Zoe Dawson yet if you wanted to buddy those?

message 235: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53670 comments Mod
@Sarah: You didn't like Endless? I liked it!

message 236: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

The time limit of 55 days is only on the 'download' option, not on the 'send to kindle' option. if you choose to send it to your kindle you can keep it forever.
