If so, is there a specific playist or song you always listen to?

I find that some songs just go really well with certain parts of a book (kind of like a "book soundtrack", I guess) but for the most part I prefer it quiet while I read, unless the music is instrumental.

Bailey I can not listen to music while I read! I get too distracted!

Roger Bailey (rogerbailey) | 4 comments For me it is impossible. I am blind and since I lost my eyesight later in life I never learned Braille well enough to do much reading with it. I do all my reading by listening to either a human narrated audio book or by listening to synthetic speech. Music would be just entirely too distracting.

Yeah, that's how I am.

Sometimes, yeah. Like, if it's a really sad part in a book I might listen to One Family (off the Tarzan soundtrack, the part where Kerchak is dying) afterwards.

Jojobean I can't have any noise when I read or I'll get distracted. I need absolute silence

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I listen to music very rarely, but when I do, it's Classical or Soundscapes.
