I have a few authors that I will read no matter what and they are:Diane Chamberlain, Jodi Picoult, Jojo Moyes.
The ones that come to mind immediately are Diana Gabaldon, Jo Nesbo, Geraldine Brooks, Peter Temple and Alison Weir.
Mine would be Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, Jonathan Kellerman, Faye Kellerman, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, Janet Evanovich, Ilona Andrews, Lillian Braun, Patricia Briggs.......this probably explains how I've managed to read over 200 books so far this year :-)A friend just recommended the Outlander series to me so I'll be reading my first Diana Gabaldon very soon.

She's one of my favourite authors. Although I must say I'm having quite a long break from her at the moment, only because her books are so absorbing I know I won't be able to read anything else!!! Outlander or Crosstitch as it's known here in Aus, the first in the series would have to be one of my all time favourites.

Oooh, I've really been wondering whether the Outlander series is as good as the hype around it. I think I might be adding it to my TBR pile now.

I'll read Patrick Rothfuss, Laini Taylor, Brandon Sanderson, Dora Machado, ... I know I'm missing some :)

It's a bit of a religion actually!!! Has an amazing following and I know there are others out there a lot more passionate about it than I am. You should give it a go. I'd love to see what you think, also. :)

Irene, you have a lot of similar authors to me :-) I've read a lot of both the Kellerman's but think Jonathan is a much better writer than his wife.

I think I'm too young to have such a huge list, but here goes. Max Barry, Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Isobelle Carmody, Max Barry, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Max Barry. Did I mention Max Barry? The man is a legend.
Age? I've adored the same authors since about 11. :) I'll begin with them! Robert Arthur Jr, Phyllis A. Whitney, Dorothy Gilman, Charlotte MacLeod, Lyn Hamilton, Kate Kingsbury, Juliet Blackwell, Kate Carlisle, Nancy Atherton. Search for Robert Arthur Jr, at garage sales or anyplace else used. It is a 1960s-1980s mystery series more modernized and WAYYY better than "Hardy Boys"/"Nancy Drew" but out of print. Carolyn
