I would like to add the following to Richard Brawer's books:
Title: The PAC Conspiracy
Author: Richard Brawer
ASIN #: B00E31AFRK
Publisher: Richard Brawer
Publicatin Date: July 20, 2013
Format: E-book
Description:
An explosive political thriller ripped from the headlines. Toshio Nagoya, descended from a long line of samurai and the ultra-nationalist CEO of Japan’s largest Keiretsu, plots to build nuclear weapons to protect his country from a menacing China.

Using his cousin, John Nagoya, a lawyer and second generation Japanese-American, they build a large PAC, political action committee, to thwart the expected United Sates’ cease-and-desist demands.

That’s the catalyst that draws three families, Toshio’s, John’s and Senator Morrison’s, intertwined by blood and marriage into conflict with each other, and how conspiracy, lust, infidelity, revenge, betrayal and murder destroy those families.

REVIEW EXCERPTS:

“We were a bit skeptical about this novel, but our feelings were quickly substituted by joy! Brawer has talent and writes in easy language." Mystery Tribune

When I thanked Eshan of “Mystery Tribune” for his review, I mentioned that I was surprised he reviewed Keiretsu so quickly. He said, “Usually it takes more time to review as we get 150+ books a month and we have to pick and choose. But the 1st chapter in Keiretsu was intriguing and I kept reading.”

"There’s everything in this novel-history, sex, murder, politics, corruption. It’s a story for today. It shows the good and bad sides of both Japanese and American cultures. Brawer has done his homework to come up with a fine piece of dramatic writing." Stephen L. Brayton, author of Night Shadows, Beta and Alpha.

“Richard Brawer’s characters stay true to their culture, tradition and values from start to finish...Which one will remain at the end to take the last bow will surprise the reader.” Fran Lewis for Booktown

“What really makes this novel a great read are the characters." G. Parker, an avid reader

I've just finished reading this book & it is a page turner ... Would make a good movie. Thoroughly enjoyed it." Paul S. for Indie Book Reviews.

Read the full reviews, excerpts, character outline, and more about "The PAC Conspiracy” at: www.silklegacy.com

“The PAC Conspiracy” was previously published as Keiretsu. Unfortunately the publisher has gone out of business so I had to republish the book as “The PAC Conspiracy” with a new cover because, as per Amazon.com, “When a detail page ( a book) is created, it becomes a permanent catalog page on Amazon.com that will remain even if the creator’s inventory sells out or the book is delisted.”

Thus Keiretsu will still show up on Amazon.com but that title is no longer available to purchase. Please go to “The PAC Conspiracy.”

WHEN A NOVEL BECOMES REALITY

I wrote The PAC Conspiracy (formerly Keiretsu) in 2012 as chilling fiction. Never did I think it would turn into reality, but it did in five short months.

A headline in May 2, 2013 “The Wall Street Journal” read

“Japan Nuclear Plan Draws U.S. Ire.”

“Japan is preparing to start up a massive nuclear-fuel reprocessing plant over the objections of the administration…The Rokkasho reprocessing facility is capable of producing nine tons of weapons-usable plutonium annually, enough to build 2000 bombs.”

A second headline in July 10, 2013 “The Wall Street Journal” read

“Japan Raises Alarm Over Defense”

Empress (the_empress) The book was already in the database. I added the description.

Reviews are NOT allowed in the description but you can add them as you own review, marking they are from other parties. The review will appear on top of all others marked as "review from author": http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18...

You can upload excerpts yourself. Only authors and staff can do that. Read HERE how and be careful with pdf files - the must contain ONLY the excerpt [not the whole book!]
6) Select one of the excerpt options—either "I am uploading the whole ebook. Cut off at ___ %" (ePub only) or "I am only uploading an excerpt" (both ePub and PDF), depending on whether you have an ePub or a PDF.

You can also change the default edition. See HERE

Empress (the_empress) Yes reviews are not allowed in the description. If you want them to be visible just add the book to your read books and add a review, the way you add to ANY other book. It will look like that:

[1] add the book in your shelves. Any shelf!

[2] Refresh the page, click EDIT REVIEW

[3] Copy and paste those reviews the way you did in post 1 in this topic.

[4] this is how other people will see it: - It will be the TOP review.

[5] You do not need to rate to post a review

HTH, and I apologize for not being very clear.

From the help files:

description
The description field is for entering a summary of the work. .... you can copy a description from a different edition or you can write your own. The description can be a couple of sentences or a couple of paragraphs describing the content of the book. It should be a generic summary and should NOT include reviews or personal feelings (i.e. "This is a book about sisters. It was good. You should read it"). The summary should also NOT contain any important spoilers .....
