I am at 20% still, haven't started reading any further yet. Yea, that part would definitely put a damper on the happy vibes.

I'm at 11% now - so far so good... I guess I expected more of the "gang" in the beginning of the book.. we havent really interacted with anyone but ren, ally and darius.
I'm at 5% but I'm gassing on through. Can't wait to see more of the crew!

Eek! My bad. It's all really early on. I'm sitting at 11% now. Reading between adjusting the sprinkler, getting fruit snacks and setting up paint. I love my kids, but a quiet beach would so rock right now!
I am almost at 40% ... so far so good :) I think what bothers me the most is that Ren calls Ally "honey" ... it just isn't Ren ... not badass enough ... am I making sense??
It makes sense, but it hasn't really bothered me. He's a badass, but he's trying so hard to take things easy, the way she says she needs them. I'm hoping he's going to whip out the can of badassery on her. I love this wacky chick, but I think that's what it's going to take. I'm dying that we start off, have to moment and then regress 13 months. I want those 13 months too, but I want to know what happens right after that moment RIGHT NOW!

I'm like 4 pages into finally seeing Lee and the Hot Bunch. It's a happy place. No matter the circumstances.

I'm at 29% and hitting the hay because I'm getting tortured by a personal trainer in the am who delights in being called Tyler the Tyrant. He's super pretty to look at though so at least as I lay on the gym floor dying I'll have a nice view. Night, ladies!

All I have to say is that I am nearly done and THANK CHRIST for that! This was a 2.5 star read for me. HUGE disappointment.

I am sure you will, Crystal. I think I am in minority but I can't relate to any of the shit Ally does/says. She alone KILLED this book for me. I can't stand her character at all. Bottom line is - NOT ENOUGH Ren and TOO MUCH Ally is my problem.

Okay, so I have come to the conclusion that REN is NOT "Hot Bunch" material at all. Lee, Eddie, Hank, Luke, Vance, Hector & Mase would throw a SHIT FIT if one of their girls (view spoiler). That would not fly... but Ren (view spoiler).. no just no. Anyone else agree???
Krystal, Ren can do no wrong in my eyes. LOL! But I do see where you are coming from. However, let me say this: any of the Hot Bunch can throw as much of a fit yet nothing will stop crazy Rock Chicks from doing what they want (stuff in your spoiler included) so Ren may be a step ahead of them all and just doesn't want to fight crazy! LMAO!

I'm not unhappy with Ally so far. I am only at 30% though. But I expected her to be a little different from the rest of the Rock Chicks. What is it you really didn't like about her Irene?

April, I just hate her in general. And when I say "hate her", this is how much:
She hasn't done/said anything in this book (or maybe she has towards the end but I kept skipping chunks of the book so I can get to the bloody finish line faster!) but I guess I'll never know.

Ok, I don't hate the story (so far), but I'm definitely not finding it as wildly entertaining as the others. I enjoyed the wacky pack of characters, but this one doesn't seem nearly as wacky so far and even Jules who kicked ass was able to play the rock chick, but it seems like Ally isn't even a Rock Chick anymore. :( I'm hopeful that'll improve though. I still want Tex to be my uncle!
