Clockwork Prince
question
Who do you think is best for Tessa,Will or Jem,and why?
Jem. I agree with Ebony. Will doesnt deserve Tessa the way Jem does. But I cant really complain because ,you know the Epilogue in Clockwork Princess, yeah? Well bamm!
Will because he knows Tessa's soul. They have a deep connection and chemistry. They make each other laugh, they think in the same way, love the same books, understand each other. It was Will who helped Tessa realise how courageous she can be and was alwayys there to save her - from the very beginning to the end.
Jem. She should have definitely been with Jem. She can't have both of them because that makes her nasty, and if she stayed with Jem it would have made the story more romantic if she waited a lifetime and a half for Jem. Also Will was kind of an ass, and I know that he had a legitimate reason to be an ass, but he was still an ass. I think she should have been with Jem because he put a ring on it first. She should have been faithful instead of hopping her ass in the bed with Will not even a day after they thought Jem was dead. Jem just seamed more deserving of Tessa.
I think they're both really good for Tessa in different ways, but I would go with Will. She and Will connected on an almost ethereal level. Tessa even said it herself. They were wholeheartedly meant for each other; they were perfect. Jem was absolutely amazing, too; but he just wasn't Will.
I'll have to go with Will on this one. The love story (triangle) as presented did nothing for me. I thought it was selfish of Jem to ask Tessa, an immortal, to marry him when he was not only mortal, but going to drop dead any minute. I felt like she was sympathy-engaged to him and left the passion with Will behind because she felt sorry for Jem.
I know that's not a popular view, but that's how it came across to me. I never bought into the triangle because it wasn't strongly and equally presented to me. I suppose you can probably imagine how annoyed I was with Clockwork Princess.
Just my two cents.

I loved both of them for Tessa. I recently finished the Infernal Devices and from the beginning, there was an attraction between Will and Tessa. And Jem ended up falling in love with Tessa when Will kept pushing her away. I agree she legitly loved them in their own ways but I'm just happy this wasn't a horrible love triangle. Everybody was happy in the end.
I think Will because to be honest, he kinda got in there first. I never thought that Jem and Tessa's relationship was all to serious, especially on Tessa's side. I thought it was almost just a way of her getting back at Will for being a bit cruel. I also think Jem might have been a bit false in making a relationship with Tessa because he wasn't well and since him and Will were parabati he should have noticed what was going on between them.
Am I the only person that thinks that in both of Cassandra Clare's series the shadowhunters seem to have fallen in love with each other really quickly?
For example Jace lives a life of killing demons and training and stuff. So he doesn't really get out much? So when he met Clary he instantly fell in love with her because she was the only girl he knew who wasn't his sister (aka Isabelle). Do you know what I mean?
Same with Will and Tessa.

Will is better for Tessa. They ended up together in the end and both loved each other dearly. Tessa wouldn't date anyone for about 80 years I think it was before she moved on. I always think that if there is a love triangle, who the other puts he/she with are meant to be. That is the problem here, because I think that Tessa will end up with Jem in City of Heavenly Fire. She will have her happy ending with both boys, and in some ways I don't find that very fair. The authors know the charters the best because they created them, so if there is a love story they will end up with whom they were meant to be with. I don't think we will know the true person she loved more. I do like Will better for Tessa though.
