Chloe's nose crinkled with distaste as she walked up to the gates of camp. She definitely wasn't this places number one fan. She was dragging her big pink suitcase behind her. Of course it held less than half of her summer wardrobe, but shed had to be choosy when she packed. But she had, and shed chosen only the best cute/casual clothes. She didn't plan on wearing any bright orange camp shirts like all the others did. They really were just garish and ugly. She hauled the luggage behind her, her designer bag sitting on her shoulder. She pushed open the gate and stepped inside the camp, already wanting to go home. But she couldn't, instead of parties and take downs, this summer she's have to deal with campfires and games of capture the flag. Oh goody. She let out a loud sigh and looked around the camp. Same as last year, to her great despair. She headed towards the Aphrodite cabin, keeping her head up and not making eye contact with any of the others milling around. http://m.weheartit.com/entry/62762103...

Justin smiled when the camp's gate came into sight. He's been waiting all year to come here, to get away from everything else. A bulky black trunk was in front of him and he hunched over to push it forward. The gates. Oh gods, the gates. Once he enters here everything will be better.... Hopefully. Justin never liked the cabin he was in, didn't even really like his goddess mother, but he was stuck in it until he turned eighteen. The cabin Aphrodite always welcomed him because he was the odd-one-out. The kid that was nothing like their god parent. Justin wasn't like his half sisters (the vain and the heartless, as he calls them), he hated himself and his life. But once he entered those camp gates, most of his worries were left behind. Of course, someone new would always come up to him and ask if he was okay and he had to nod his head while his throat burned as he held back tears. He looked down at the trunk, sighing as he back down to roll it through the gates. "C'mon Justin, just get through the gates and get to the cabin." Once he got in, he stood up, looking around and taking a deep breath. Home. It felt like he hasn't been he for forever.... A few of the early campers were running around, their bright orange camp shirts were identical to his and he smiled. Finally. People just like him. People who accidentally did thinks in from of mortals without meaning to. People who still don't know what they're going to do with their life. People who are here to have fun. "Cabin time." Justin whispered, bending down to push his trunk down the path towards the cabins.
Chloe heard the ring tone on her phone for a text and dropped her suitcase in the middle of the path. She needed a break from hauling that thing anyway, it was crazy heavy, and the rocks on the patch were posing quite a challenge for her. She stopped walking and pulled her phone out of her bag, opening up the text, which turned out to be one from her friend Mindy, one of te ones that she tolerated. She texted her back a bland message that was only partially degrading and threw her phone back into her purse, letting out an annoyed squeak as she picked up the suitcase handle again (I would've had her knock into him but he was behind her so I didn't know 0.0)

Justin turned his head to the side, watching the counselors running around trying to get everything ready instead of watching the path. The rocks under the trunks' wheels making it move side to side and not in a straight line. The front of the trunk hit something rather hard, considering that it wasn't a tree or a building. Justin looked up, his eyes widening slightly. He ran into an Aphrodite girl, one of his half sisters, and he knew that she was going to throw some kind of bitch-fit because he wasn't looking. "Erm, sorry." Justin half-whispered, taking his hands off of the trunk and standing up.
Chloe had been back to walking slowly, thinking that maybe if she went slow, she wouldn't ever have to go. But that thought was cut off short by something smacking against the back of her legs. She let out a yelp and then spun around to face whatever had smashed into her "WHAT THE HEL-" she stopped short when she saw that it was one of her half brothers "oh come on, you? You're my brother! Are your trying to bruise me beyond belief??" She asked with a shocked expression

Justin ignored her comment, leaning down to push his trunk past her. "If I could, I would," he whispered, shaking his head slightly. "It's not like I wanted to be your half brother anyway..." He didn't like most - if not all - of his sibling, so running them over with his luggage didn't seem like such a bad idea to him. "You know, with an attitude like that, I'm surprised you're not one of Ares' kids." If only.... If Chloe was in another cabin, I'd just be one more heartless sister to get off his shoulders. Justin stood back up, turning to face the older girl. He nodded to her bag. "I though you couldn't bring electronics....?" He was referring to her phone that rang previously. Chloe wasn't known for following the rules but most of the Aphrodite girls weren't, so whatever he comeback was, he'd probably just forget about it.
Chloe looked at him with a raised brow "awww someone woke up on the wrong side of the cot..." She poked his nose and crinkled her nose a bit. She really didnt like that kid. "Ares kid?? If I were violent and evil like that you wouldn't be in such a good spot, trust me" she muttered, more under her breath than anything. She almost laughed out loud "oh yeah? What are they gonna do, make me clean my room? Go for a nature walk??? I can use my phone if I feel like it, honey" she said, walking towards her cabin, texting just to show she could.

Justin rolled his eyes. Wrong side of the cot? More like wrong side of the world... Seeing this girl wasn't the best thing for his day. Seeing any of his sibling wasn't the best thing in his life. "Why the hell am I related to you...?" He whispered to himself, walking to the side of his trunk to grab the handle and pull it down the path. Walking somewhat beside and somewhat behind Chloe, he tried to ignore her, looking around the camp to see if he could see anyone else he knew. "I guess the summer here isn't going to be any better away from dad."
Chloe smiled sweetly "well that's not hard to explain. See we have the same mother, I thought you understood that, but don't worry, I only judge you a lot" she said sarcastically, still walking and texting at the same time. She'd become very good at over the years, especially living in the city. She quieted brow and sighed "you're no fun, Justin. But don't worry, I won't talk to you. You're the one that tried to run me over with that bulky piece of crud" she quipped, starting to walk a little bit faster in her gladiator sandals, placing herself ahead of him

"Like I need someone else judging me." Justin said to no one in particular. He just wanted to sit in the middle of a highway, watch as cars swerved by him - trying to not hit the boy in the middle of the street. But there'd be that one car... that one car that might be lucky enough to actually hit him. He could see the headlines now: Boy In Middle Of Street Gets Hit. Justin shook his head, clearing the thought fast enough to hear her last comment. He sped up slightly trying to catch up to her. "Just because you're two years older than me, doesn't mean you can treat me like dirt." Whoa. Standing up for himself? That wasn't normal. He blinked, trying to figure out what he just said. Well alright then. I guess we're going to be nice to our self today.

Chloe let out a long, put upon sigh "dirt? Really Justin, I think you're over reacting a teensy bit. We just had a little argument, and now it's over. Don't make out like it's world war three" she said, then stopped in the middle of the path so she could send a message to her friend, where was he anyway??? Im here and my half brother is being really really annoying please come save me Jake!!! she texted to her bestie. He was probably the only person she said please to on a regular basis, he was high above all the other people she knew anyway

(Leenahhhh should chlo see him? And like tackle him and shit?)

"It's not-" Justin stopped himself before getting deeper into his true feelings. He didn't need to share them with anymore, much less someone who didn't even care about him. Swallowing, he got a better grip on his trunk, giving Chloe one last glance before taking off down the path. He wanted to get to the cabin as fast as possible and defiantly before Chloe got there. Throwing his luggage under a bed and locking himself in the bathroom for a few minutes seemed like a really good idea. The self-made wind blowing in his face and through his hair made him forget about what he was doing, why he was running away. It made him feel like he was actually happy for a few moments. Like how he should feel when he's at this camp. Like a normal person.
Hunter's back was to one of the trees near the gates, watching as new and old campers arrived. He was supposed to be greeting everyone that came in but this year he didn't really feel up to it. Everyone old knew who he was and didn't really like him, and everyone new was too young to even try to guess who their parent was. He pushed off from the tree when a very city-looking girl with brown hair came through the gates, looking very confused and disgusted. He almost laughed. This was defiantly a first-time demigod who wasn't expecting this. "First time here?" Hunter asked when he got closer. "Or do you really just hate camp?"

After Chloe finished with her text, she turned in circles, looking for jakes sandy blonde hair. Where was that boy? He probably was one of the goody boys that left his phone at home to follow the rules. Ugh. She obviously still had things to teach him. When she turned toward the gates though, she spotted him. A grin spread onto her face and she dropped the handle of her suitcase, forgetting all about her annoying half brother and running over to him, practically jumping on him in a hug, and squealing his name in his ear "thank the GODS you're here!!!" She chirped

Jake was regretting not bringing his phone, at least if he had it he could have called Chloe, hell she had probably already texted him a hundred times and tried calling him. He was about to turn when he was tackled by the girl he was just thinking about, her voice in his ear made him laugh. "Hey to you to Chlo," He said as a grin spread over his face. Finally someone he knew, he felt more grounded with her there, and more like he belonged. "How long have you been here? I was just thinking I should've have brought my phone instead of going by the rules. I brought my iPod if that counts for anything?" Jake hugged her tightly and then leaned back some to look around a bit more. "I have no idea where to go or what to do so I'm going to need your guidance while I'm here. Its all a bit much and a huge difference from LA." Jake didn't mind the outdoors but this was like being placed on an island in the middle of the ocean, there was literally nothing around, and if he understood things correctly they weren't supposed to leave the camp all summer.
Chloe let go of him and stood next to him, fixing her hair under her fashionable fedora hat. She looked around the camp with an unpleasant look on her face "well it won't be hard for you to figure it out, the place is pretty small, you'll know your way around before the end of the night, I'm sure" she said and then sighed "well I've been here long enough to walk through the gates, be attacked by my half brother, text you for assistance, realize you probably left your phone at home, dump my suitcase in the path and tackle you. So not too long" she replied with a smile. "The cabins are all over along here, they're spread out a bit but not too much, Apollo and Aphrodite are right next to each other" she chirped

Hunter crossed his arms, smiling at the girls' words. Camp for the gifted? Oh, this girls parents didn't tell her anything. The poor girl would die by next Monday. He shook his head, shuffling the mix of dirt and rocks at his feet. "If you weren't supposed to be here, you couldn't have gotten through that gate. We're all special here, and that's not in a bad way. You'll be well educated by the summer." He uncrossed his arms and pointed to The Big House on the other side of camp. "Man in charge is in that house. You can get the through from him and stay for the rest of the summer or you can get the truth from me and stay for the rest of the summer. There isn't much of a choice. You get the truth and you stay. No leaving. Pick someone to hear it from." Hunter really didn't want to deal with her. She defiantly wasn't related to him. Anyone related to Ares' couldn't sound, much less look, like that. Maybe she was Aphrodite... Possibly Athena. She had to be claimed sooner or later. Tonight or tomorrow. A part of him would laugh if she what Hephaestus' kid... Seeing that prissy girl with oil and machines would be awesome. He shrugged slightly, looking down to her. "You're not leaving before sunset tonight, I can tell you that much."
Justin stopping a few yards before the Aphrodite cabin. He didn't want to go in there. To feel the good and the bad memories all at once. He sat his trunk down, laying across it so his legs and arms hung off the edges. "Mom," He whispered, closing his eyes. He could see the sun through his eyelids, the bright orange light decorating the inside of the darkness. "If you can hear me; Why did you claim me? I'd much rather be a parentless child than this."

Jake rose a brow, "Attacked?" He questioned and glanced around, no one really looked like the type to attack a girl to be honest. But knowing Chloe she brought it upon herself, he loved her to death but she was bound to get into trouble no matter where she was. Even in the middle of nowhere. "Isn't that your brand new bag? I mean its lying in the dirt..." He glanced toward her bag abandoned on the ground across from them, he hadn't brought any bags that were worth value, he didn't want them getting ruined in this place. From what his mother had told him he wouldn't have the need for such things anyway in a place like this, they would all be made to wear certain shirts and look very uniformal. Of course he knew that his friend would rebel and wear what she liked no matter the rules. She found ways to rebel at their private school all the time dress code wise. No one ever looked like her, and she never blended in with the rest of them. Jake nudged her shoulder playfully with his, "Do you think the people in my cabin will be cool? Or idiots? I mean should I plan on waging a Chloe/Jake war on them or what?" He had a playful grin on his face. They were a good team, and took down people all the time, spoiling their names in society, and at school. It was their thing, remaining on top. He doubted that Chloe didn't try for that here either, it was just who she was.
"Yes attacked. Brutally. With an oversized, ancient trunk, if you must know" Chloe said in a voice that told her best friend that she was definitely the victim in the situation. She let it a sigh and grabbed his wrist, dragging him over to her luggage and picking up the handle of it "I was excited when I saw you, okay? No hate, man. And well, I don't think these people are worth an all out take down. I mean yeah, i use the catty comments here and there, let em know that I'm in charge and stuff, but I don't think anyone around here but us would appreciate that kind of work for a take down. And you like everyone, you'll be fine unless they scar your honor or some other manly thig" she said with a wave of her hand, dismissing the problem as she walked towards the cabins with him

"Don't call me crazy, it's true. But... You're a demigod. Half of one of the Greek gods or goddesses. You have powers, depending on who your parent is. I'm the son of Ares, god of war." Hunter flashed her a charming smile before continuing. "You'll learn to enjoy it. It's the only place where you can be with people like you. It sounds crazy, I know. It sounded crazy to me at first, too. But once you get claimed you'll understand it better." He paused, raising an eyebrow. Air conditioning? What camp who's campers are out in the sun all day not have air conditioning? "Every cabin hair air conditioning. For now you'll be in Cabin Ten, Hermes' Cabin, the messenger god. Once you get claimed, you'll be moved to you're real cabin." He shrugged, not really knowing how to put that in simpler terms. The gods were the gods. He's always had a hard time explaining it. "Welcome to Camp Half Blood, Bay. I'm Hunter."

"Brutally? Wow," Jake held back a smirk, she was so dramatic at times, he enjoyed teasing her. "My honor? I didn't know you thought I had any milady," Jake said in a mocking tone, he put on a grin though to let her know he was only teasing. "So we're right next door to one another? That's convenient and amazing, we can sneak into each others rooms more easily then," If anyone else had overheard such a comment they would have thought they were lovers, but they were only friends and liked to talk to one another about their days. He had no idea if they were going to be busy to do that here during the day. "So what are the plans for tonight? Are we required to do anything?" He looked about curiously, he was very interested in the entire thing. He knew from talking to Chloe previously she didn't particularly like spending all summer at the camp, but he planned on giving it a shot and making his own opinion on the place.
"Of course you have honor, it's you're thing. I have class, you have honor. That's why we kick ass as a team" Chloe chirped, "yeah you can expect me to come into your bunk to snuggle all the time, I'm going to annoy you as usual." She giggled and nudged his arm "they probably have a bunch of shit planned, a big bonfire, meeting the other campers, all that stuff. It's like a mixer for rednecks" she said in a tone that made it fact "I tried to skip it last year, but they didnt let me anyway, so you'd better be around for me to chill with" she said

Hunter grabbed the suitcase to her side, slinging it under his right arms with ease. He veered them to Hermes', slightly bumping into Bay every now and then. "It's hard to believe, I know, but just go with it.... You know," He stopped walking, taking a step away from her to look her up and down. "You don't really look like someone who has a god for a dad. You have a step mom, don't you?" It was a blunt question, yes, but if she had a step mom he could narrow it down to who she's related to. A part of him hoped for Aphrodite. Most of the girls in the cabin gave him a shot and when they didn't, he pitied them into giving him a chance. A smirk spread across his face and he started walking again, shaking his head slightly as he got a better grip on her suitcase.

Jake laughed, "You can come snuggle whenever you want, you know that Chlo." He actually liked that they had such a close, and sibling like relationship. He could hang all over her, and she him, or they could sleep in each others beds and nothing happened. they knew they were just friends, no complications or fears that one was trying to get into the others pants. "I won't skip, we'll go through the torture together. Maybe we can even make a game out of it if we try," He gave her a devilish girn, she always brought out the more reckless side of him, only downside. His parents had gotten over this small fact long ago, because they realized quite early on that the two would find a way to see one another even if they forbid it. Jake had stolen a girls backpack once for Chloe in fifth grade because the girl had taken Chloe's favorite book. Well it ended up in a physical fight by the end and Jakes parents had decided that they could no longer be friends. That night Jake slipped out his window and went to sneak into Chloes room. The next morning their parents found the two asleep next to one another in Chloes closet, from that day forward his parents decided they would have to deal with whatever happened.
(That's such a cute little story omg)
Chloe quieted a brow and looked up at him, obviously interested "a game? Okay no you've got me curious, what kind of game?" She asked, tucking a dark curl behind her ear as the two walked. They still had a few minutes before they came to the cabins. For as long as she remembered, jake had been like her big brother, sort of. He protected her all the time, not a soul would insult her with him around, or they'd end up with a fist in their face. And if she found out someone was bothering him, girl or guy, she'd destroy them. But then he was also her best friend, helping her scheme and plot against their enemies, then go on to have a sleepover and talk about random crap until four AM. They'd always been a good match as friends, the best, so neither of them wanted to mess with it. It's not like she was attracted to him anyway, he was of course good looking, but, he's JACOB.

Jake chuckled, of course he was interested. It was Chloe, she loved games and keeping herself occupied. "Well I was thinking we could make a game out of who went in what God/Goddess category, and in the end whoever has the most correct guesses gets to tell the loser to do whatever they want no questions asked and the loser has to do it or be labeled as a coward for the rest of summer. What do you think? Or we could say winner gets the others favorite car when we get home," He quirked a brow right back at her and wondered if she was up for the challenge. You could never tell with Chloe, life was a game with this girl.

Hunter sighed. Well.... She wasn't really adopted, just lied to for her whole life. How was he supposed to say that to Bay in a nice way? You don't. She's not being all that nice to him, so he doesn't have to be really nice to her. "You're not adopted. But the person that you think is your mom really isn't. Like I said, you're a demigod, so don't be so surprised... Have you ever done someone or had something done to you that you can't explain?" He stopped again, looking her in the eye. Hunter was trying his best to help her understand but he really didn't know how to explain it all that good. Just try your best.

Chloe was instantly in love with the idea. She already knew who a fair amount of the kids had as parents, she was here last year, and had already played that game with herself. It's the only thing she could think of to do for passing the time at bonfires. She would have a leg up, not too much of one though, since she barely remembered any of the kids. She nodded to him "I'm up for it, I'll beat your ass and get to drive your car for.... A week?" She proposed. She's always loved Jacobs Jeep (I thought you'd be likey to give him a jeep we can change that if no). She expected he would want to win too though, since she had a slammin convertible and access to her dads new Mustang...

Jake chuckled, "Sounds like a deal to me. Okay so lets go put our things up and go take a look around," He nodded toward the cabins ahead of them. He noticed a guy and a girl stopped near the cabins arguing or something, he ignored them and continued on with Chloe. Up ahead was another guy, he was laying on top of his trunk talking to himself, odd. "Hey who's that? Is he okay?" He asked Chloe, little did he know that that was one of her half brothers. Jake kind of wanted to ask the poor guy if he was okay, he didn't look in too good of shape. He was pale, and looked a bit stricken, Jake wondered if soemthing had happened to the poor guy already to make him upset, or have a concussion because he was most definitely talking to himself.

Hunter half-smiled, raising a brow. He could tell that Bay had something on her mind, something that probably did matter but she just blew it off. "Everything in your past matters." He said, starting to walking again. They were at least five minutes away from the cabins so he had some time to get whatever was on her mind out of her. "You know, before I came here, there was the guy in my class who everyone hated. He was a total asshole. No one liked him and everyone was begging me to just beat the shit out of him because I was the only one who had enough guts to. We all gathered on the football field and I jumped him, giving him a black eye and a broken nose. When the teachers finally dragged me off, everyone said that I almost broke his windpipe. The funny thing...? I don't remember any of it. I was so hyped up on battle that I didn't even know what I was doing. Even funnier...? I was in third grade. My dad effected me more than I thought and a lot younger than most kids." Hunter looked over at Bay, laughing slightly. He couldn't believe he just told her that. "Is your event worse than that?"
"Deal" Chloe said, grabbing his hand and shaking it all professional like. She walked up to the cabins and noticed the two people arguing. She sure as hell wasnt going to step in, but she loved the girls outfit, definitely her kind of clothes, she loved it. And he guy was hot. But anyway... She looked at her cabin and half groaned "ugh yes, that my half brother. He hates me, and everyone else in Aphrodite cabin. He says we're all too conceited and arrogant. He's not though, I don't think he likes himself very much. But you know everyone tired to help him last year, even me if you'd believe it. He's kind of family, even thigh he doesn't want to be..." She said, dreading the moment where shed have to walk around him, or over him, to get into her cabin. Ugh.

Justin opened his eyes, trying to take in the sounds around him. Voices. Damn. And not just any voices either. It was Chloe. He knew that he'd have to see her at some point again but not this soon... Sitting back up, he stood slowly. It was bad enough that he ran into her earlier, but now she and another boy, her boyfriend by the looks of it, just saw him laying on his trunk talking to basically no one. Great. He flashed Chloe a small smirk, grabbing the handle of his trunk to roll it into the cabin. "Not the best start of the day." Justin whispered, taking one last look at his half sister and her friend before disappearing inside of his cabin.

Jake rose a brow, it sounded like the kid had a lot of issues. "Well still maybe we should see-" He hushed when the guy got up off of his trunk and looked at them with a weird kind of smile, it made Jake raise a brow and stare as he disappeared into the cabin. "He's definitely an odd one, but maybe theres something there he's not telling everyone else?" He suggested to Chloe, "Look you said I have honor, and my honory gut is telling me that he's not everything he seems on the surface. There's more to him... anyway so the game is on for tonight right? I'm gonna go put my things in my cabin, then we can meet up somewhere?" He had no idea where they could go until the bonfire happened.
"Cool the honor then, the kid is a jerk. He thinks he's so much better than us because he has such a humble soul...it's all an act, if you ask me. Wants to be the only Aphrodite that has a sweet, compassionate heart. He's just as arrogant as the rest of us." She chirped, then nodded to him "yeah, I'll meet you at your cabin in like, ten minutes?? I just need to get a good bunk and change really quick. See they for me last year, said I have to have the camp logo on my shirt, but I'm ready this year, I made my own" Chloe said with a grin. Well, the minions had made them for her, but still.

Mallory, Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.

Hunter smiled. Dance in a circle with flowers on her head? Not everyone could come up with a sentence like that. Maybe she was one of the nature goddesses kid... Demeter, Artemis? He still wasn't quite sure. "You don't have to talk about it. You'll know your parents pretty soon, anyway." He nodded to the cabins in the distance, pointing out the one that she was going to stay in temporarily. "There's Hermes'. You'll stay there until you get claimed. Once you get un packed, you can either stay there and wait for the other campers or you can walk around and meet new people. I'm in Ares', just remember that." A part of him hope she wasn't a child of Athena. He found her cute for one of the newest campers. If she was Athena's, he wouldn't dare to go near her. "Oh, and if you see a kid in his early teens who doesn't look all quite there, try to be nice to him. He doesn't have many friends."
Justin sat down on one of the bottom bunks in the back of the cabin. He leaned over the side of the bunk to open up his trunk, digging through it until he found a slip of torn paper from last summer. One of his only friends wrote it last year before she went on a quest for camp. If was more of a goodbye note than anything else. She died during one of the more difficult quests given and wrote a note for him before she left. He unfolded it, the torn and tattered paper ripping even more in his hands. It was a small note, barely anything at all, but it meant the world to him.
Justin, people have been telling me to write this before I go just incase something bad happens to me - which I doubt it will, but just bare with me. If I don't come back, please don't give up. You're stronger than you think. Best wishes, Lizzy
The back of his throat stung but he couldn't do anything about it. Not here. Not now. It's not like anyone could really help him, anyway. He folded the paper back up, resting it in his luggage before anyone walked in. Justin really didn't want anyone else in this cabin. Why couldn't he be an only child? Why did Aphrodite have to have other kids? He'd be much better if he was just by himself...

Bay looked up and toward the cabin he was indicating, well that would be home for the summer. Joy oh joy. She sighed inwardly and wished she could be at a spa right then instead of the middle of nowhere with strange people, insects, and wild things. Though the flowers intrigued her that were littered across the grounds. She tore her attention away from the plants and focused back on Hunter, "I'll keep that in mind." She was referring to where he was staying, she had plans to get to know him better, in her own time. "Um if you haven't noticed I'm really not the nice type, so I can't guarantee anything. Its just who I am, and I doubt this place will change me anytime soon." She gave him a small wave and then started off toward her cabin.

Hunter smirked. "You're a New York kid, right? I can tell by the accent... We're from the same state girl, I bet I can handle you." He followed her, walking up to her cabin and setting her back by the door. "By the way, don't get freaked out when you get claimed. It'll probably happened around other people, but if you're alone, just know that a kind of mist will appear over your head with the symbol of who your parent is." Taking a step back he waved slightly, turned his back on her to walk away. "Good luck. You'll defiantly need it."
