Leena (leena23) Same state? Him? She thought he sounded normal, the rest of the kids so far had all sounded weird, almost foreign to her and her New York state of mind. "I would love to see you try to handle me," She told him with a slight smile, she was trying to hid but failing miserably. She loved when boys tried to see if they could catch her, let alone handle her and her temper. "Bring it on," She added and ignored his comments about being claimed, like she cared. It was just another thing to add to the list of things she hated about being there. The only thing so far that was worth her time and interest was Hunter, and she was keeping that tidbit to herself. She threw him a flirty smile before disappearing into the cabin to see what it would be like. She pondered on not even unpacking because if she wasn't supposed to be here she was going to have to move all of her things to another cabin. She frowned and looked at her bag, she set it on an empty bunk and unzipped it. A note lay on top, We didn't know how to tell you honey. I hope things go well, you can yell at me when summer is over. I didnt' think you would like the shirts they 'require' so I had your (step)mother go and have you your own wardrobe of 'camp' shirts made up. Enjoy -Dad Bay felt tears prick her eyes, she blinked them back and pushed the note under some of the clothes so she wouldn't have to look at it. She then picked a shirt up, it was button up tank top with the camp logo very small on the left shoulder. She smiled, there were other shirts that were near her normal wear, each with the logo small and hidden somewhere on the clothing, there were also jeans, shorts, and two skirts, plus more viable shoes. Bay changed into a pair of white shorts, and a black, sleevless top that had the camps logo on the side in gold. She put on hikers boots and then closed the suitcase. She left it there and went in search of someone to complain to.

Addie hopped out of the pickup truck and picked up her duffel bag. She went to the other side of the truck and looked up at her father, a small smile on her face. She's miss him like crazy, that was for sure. The older man wrapped his arms around his daughter and hugged her tightly, saying a goodbye in her ear. She walked away from him, and stood a few feet away while he drive off, waving all along. She smiled to herself and walked into the camp, looking around the scenery. A bunch if kids running around, some of em had swords, that was weird, but eh, she didnt really pay attention. She looked around curiously, trying to find someone that looked to be in charge. Her duffel was kind of heavy, shed like to go drop it off at her cabin.

Leena (leena23) Bay was wandering around, trying to get a feel for the place, even though it was ingrained in her to hate the outdoors and the wilderness around her she strangely found herself drawn to it. The flowers, the squirrels playing chase with one another, the birds flirting and singing their song, she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going as she followed a pair of Blue Jays around, they were singing the most beautiful song to one another and she was intrigued. Then she thought she felt someone near her and looked away. A girl stood a few feet away from her glancing around, seemingly lost, she looked much like Bay had only an hour before. Bay wondered if she should introduce herself? She decided to be nice and save her the trouble of just walking around, "Hey." She called out and walked over to her.

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

All that Addie could see is a bunch of bright orange shirts. And damn were they bright... She was walking slowly into the camp, hoping someone would notice how lost she looked and talk to her. She heard a greeting and turned a bit, seeing a brunette walk towards her. She didnt exactly look happy and friendly, br she didn't look evil either... She met the girl halfway and smiled "hey, I'm Addie, do you know where I'm supposed to check in...? I don't have a cabin number or anything..." She said

message 55: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "Well apparently if you don't know your parent up there," She pointed skywards and then let her hand fall to her side, "You have to stay in the same cabin I'm in. We find out today or tomorrow who will claim us, so if you want I can show you the way, I'm Bay." She gave her a smile, that was rare, but Bay figured she would need someone to talk to here or she would go crazy, and for some reason she felt drawn to this girl much like the birds and other nature. "My parents didn't tell me anything about where I was going before I was dropped off," She commented to Addie to see if they could strike up a conversation, plus she wondered if she was the only one whose parents left them in the dark about everything.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie furrowed her brows at her girl ms have her a sort of look. She bit the inside of her cheek and let her finish talking. She nodded "yeah, that's be great bay, but claim? Up there? What do you mean? I mean, is it like some kind of team thing? The cabin heads choose who they want as cabin mates or something?" She asked, trying to grasp what she meant. She was confused, and didnt understand what was going on. This was just a summer camp, right?

message 57: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "SO you weren't told either?" Bay laughed dryly, parents sucked. Period. "Come on, I'll explain along the way," She started walking and recounting everything that Hunter had told her when she'd been lost, she even told her how her parents had had a car drop her off, and written her a letter and left it in her bags for her to find later. "I mean I just don't get it, why would they hide something so big from us? Its frustrating and everything we've believed up to this point seems like a lie," Bay's cheeks were pink from annoyance and frustration. She hadn't meant to spill everything out onto this girl, but she needed to go what was going on and Bay just had to tell someone the wrongs her parents had done to her. It was a bit much to keep to herself.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie walked along side Bay, her frown deepening with every sentence she said. Once she was done, she nodded a bit, trying to be considerate to this girl "yeah, I'm sure they meant well for you though, they probably just didnt want to complicate your life..." She said, then stopped walking "but I'm sorry, I think there's some mistake. As much as it would be really amazing and cool to have a god as a parent, I don't. My dad just drove away ten minutes ago, and my mom died when I was a baby. Unless a goddess died sixteen years ago, I don't think I belong here. Sorry." She said, trying to be rational about the whole thing

message 59: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Bay looked at the girl like she had a marble loose, then she smiled at her to try and keep her demeanor soft. "I know you want to believe that your father doesn't lie to you but he did. Period. He lied, your mother if far from dead, she's a powerful goddess waiting to claim you and have you under her watch I guess. I dunno you'll have to ask Hunter any questions you may have that dive deeper than the surface, I still need to learn all of the details as well. Have you ever done something you can't explain?" She asked the same question Hunter had asked her when she had first arrived at the camp.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie looked at Bay curiously "I dunno, I don't think he would..." She said, then sighed. She thought about the question with pursed lips, thinking about her life, and then she remembered the incident when she was five, with the horse and the tumor. She's done that several other times throughout her life, and her influencing... Maybe this Bay girl was right? She nodded "yea, a couple of things, do you really think that means... That I'm half goddess?" She asked, walking towards the cabins once again.

message 61: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "Yeah I do, apparently that's one of the signs.... something happened just last year to me and I can't explain it so I don't know what to believe. I guess we'll find out tonight because we should be marked, or claimed or whatever," She pointed to a cabin, "That's the one we can put our things in until we're claimed. To be honest I wouldn't unpack, you don't know if that will be your permanent cabin yet so it would be a waste of time to take everything out to just put it back again," She said in a knowing voice, she couldn't help it. It was just her personality, she really was just trying to help Addie. "I personally can't wait until this is all said and done so we can learn about what this all about," She added in a quiet voice.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie nodded to Bay, she didnt really mind the high and mighty tone, she could handle it of course. "Well yeah, I mean I wish I had known about this a long time ago, this is ridiculous. My dads gone now and I don't have a phone so I guess I just have to wait and find out, sorry to be a downer but that just pisses me off" she said in an angry tone. Had her father just forgotten that he fucked a goddess???? Unlikely. She started to walk up to the cabin

message 63: by E L L E (new)

E L L E (lacustrine_dreams) (Are people being claimed or just already sorted into specific cabins?)

Kai couldn't help but feel a little nervous and excited as the looming gates of the camp came into view. The moment she'd discovered her demigod heritage and the existence of the place in front of her Kai had been completely wired. She'd been through so many emotions in the past few weeks, amazement, fear, anger, confusion, back to amazement and now as it seemed the truth was really here in front of her Kai didn't really know what to think. The car rumbled to steady halt and she clambered out, taking in a deep breath of fresh air and glancing around with curious teal eyes. It seemed nice enough, Kai was used to the outdoorsy lifestyle and though it wasn't quite as warm as her home it was welcome all the same. Retrieving her travel rucksack from the trunk and slinging it over her slender shoulders, Kai thanked the driver and made her way up to the gate. It was her first year here and Kai really didn't have much of a clue as to where she was supposed to go or what she was supposed to do. As of right now she was just winging it and hoping for the best.

message 64: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "Heh yeah I feel you, I left a pretty nasty voicemail on my parents cells, oh you can use mine if you want? To try and blast him about it all, I wish my parents had picked up, it would have been an hour long conversation at the very least," Bay had the same mindset and anger that her new acquaintance did, so she didn't mind the pissed off attitude she was giving off as she spoke. She understood, this was crap, what kind of parents lied to their children and didn't tell them who their real parent was? She had thought that her mom was alive and well this entire time, Addie had thought hers dead! Parents were the evil ones, at least the ones on earth were.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

(People are being claimed, like these two haven't been claimed yet, they have no clue what's going on >.>)
Addie nodded Bay "oh yeah, I'll be calling them later, I can wait until everyone goes to sleep if I have to and find an office phone, that way I can have all the points lined out that I want to scream at him for." She practically growled. She walked into the camp and just tossed her duffel bag onto a random bunk, not even paying attention to the kids inside, she couldn't care less right now "so how are we supposed to know? I mean is there a way to tell who our parent is without being claimed???" She asked

message 66: by E L L E (new)

E L L E (lacustrine_dreams) (Hmm I might put her in a similar situation to Jake is it Leena? He's never been before but knows about his heritage anyway kind of thing? I wanna get some rivalry going as soon as possible mwahahaha)

message 67: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "Apparently yes, we get a mark above our heads or something? At the bonfire tonight? I heard some kids saying we go eat at the mess hall and then we head over to the bonfire for the festivities and claiming," She waved her hands dramatically as she spoke, "Its supposed to be this big, important thing. I don't see why they can't just tell who us who our parents are, this is a big confusing mess that I'd like cleared up right away. And if we were in New York City it would be all cleared up," She huffed and sprawled out on her bed that had her things on it, she didn't notice the girls in the room staring at the two of them like they had two heads or somethign.

message 68: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) (Yeah that works Elle!)

message 69: by E L L E (new)

E L L E (lacustrine_dreams) (Okay thanks :D I should probably send her to Poseidon's cabin then... )

The weight of her rucksack against her shoulders was beginning to dig in and Kai shifted uncomfortably, tucking a curl of dark hair behind her ear. It didn't take long for her keen eyes to lock onto the signs that led to specific cabins and there it was amongst the others Poseidon, Kai couldn't begin to fathom the shot of fear and awe that ran through her just seeing that name. She swallowed and chewed her lip in a nervous manner as she headed over, following the sign towards Poseidon's cabin. And there it was, nestled in amongst the trees. This was it, Kai was finally home and she'd finally get a chance to understand who she really was.

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie nodded a little bit, then chuckled softly, she couldn't help it "so I guess you're a city girl then? You must hate it here already..." She commented "but I swear, I have half a mind to walk down to the offices now and bother whoevers in charge until they just tell me. Is there a goddess for animals? I mean I guess I'm probably that ones daughter, unless I'm completely off the mark and don't even know who my real dad is. Knowing how stupid I am I'm probably wrong." She said, trying to think back to sixth grade when she learned about the Greek culture. She had the gods and goddesses memorized back then, not so much anymore.... But her influencing would put her in a good spot to have some time of animal god or goddess as a parent, right?

message 71: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "Hey if you decide to do that I'm right there with you, i'd like to know a few things too," Blair tucked her hair behind her ear and looked at Addie, "Hmmm let me think a minute," She said in answer to if there was a goddess for animals, "Wait yeah! Yes there is, Artemis. I think an arrow and bow is her mark, but I can't be sure. She was supposed to be a virgin though.. hmm curious. I guess everyone has their dirty little secrets, even the Gods," She had a grin on her face, it was good to know they weren't even perfect. Maybe she was the only one that thought that way but she really didn't care.

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

"Artemis? That would be cool, I could be a goddesses dirty little slip up. How flattering" she said with a soft chuckle. She couldn't help but feel like it was all some kind of big joke, that everybody here was in on. Maybe at the bonfire they'd all jump up and say "gotcha" and then she won't have to hate her dad anymore? That would be the cutest darn thing... "I feel like I'm being punked." She mumbled with pursed lips "who do you think your parent is? Like I'm not asking what your unexplainable thing was, but any ideas at all?" She asked

message 73: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) "Yeah I would love if we were being punked, then I could go back to my home and forget this nightmare, not that you're part of it darling, just the rest of this..." She straightened her shorts some and glared a few girls out of the room, she smiled once they were gone. "No idea, I made flowers burst into tiny pieces if that helps at all?" She scrunched up her nose like that probably didn't help one bit, "I seem to be drawn to flowers... and birds too its so strange, maybe its because I've lived in the city my entire life?" She shrugged her shoulders as if none of it made any difference anyhow.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah you're actually not too bad, I admire how you can glare people out of the cabin, useful gift, right there" Addie said with a teasing smile. She listened and tilted her head "well, flowers, kind of like crops, and Demeter has control over crops so, maybe it her?? Or with birds it could be Artemis too." She shrugged like she really wouldn't know either way "I guess we'll have to wait until tonight. See my weird thing is that I can influence and understand animals, it's not like we talk to each other... I just have ideas out of nowhere about what they need or something and I'm always right, and then I can tell them what to do by just thinking it. I don't know maybe I'm crazy..." She muttered, taking a hand through her hair

message 75: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) bay was actually impressed by her gifts, that would be cool to be able to influence creatures, wait what the hell was she thinking? Why would she want to do something like that? Bay was so confused and overwhelmed with it all, this whole thing meant that she might actually be destined for a completely different life than what she had had planned originally. That scared the hell out of her, no more Yale, no more planning for future social events. She gave Addie a feeble smile, "Yes well where I'm from you either come out on top or you die at the bottom. I don't think you're crazy, I think you're talented, I'm sure it will be a relief to understand yourself for once," She gave her an encouraging smile.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie blinked a few times "that sounds... Harsh. See where I come from you don't really have to fight to be on top, there isn't really even a top. There's just a general clump, that everyone's in. Talents? I'm not so sure about that, it's just kind of a thing I've always done, I grew up on a ranch, I always thought it was because I've lived around the horses and things for so long that we understood each other..." She said, a half smile on her face. She remembered nights when she couldn't sleep, going out into the stables and cuddling with the newborn ponies. It was something her father expected of her after a while

message 77: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Bay rose a brow, "Well that's far from what city life is like. You have to be in the know of fashion, people that are popular, the right social circles, the hip parties, its kind of exhausting to be honest, plus keeping my grades perfect... I planned on going to Yale, now I have no idea what's on my future," Bay hadn't said that aloud yet and now it seemed kind of final that her future was hanging in the air with no real plans. Bay was a planner, and she couldn't imagine not going to Yale like her and her parents had planned most of her life. She had a Yale onsie when she was just a baby.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie looked at Bay like she had a screw loose "that does sound exhausting, pretty awful, having to worry constantly. But I gues you'd get used to it??" She said, then sighed "well we don't know that yet, maybe it's totally normal for people like us to live normal lives, have jobs and families? I may not be an admissions officer, but I say being half goddess would look amazing on a resume!" She chirped, trying to make light of the situation "but seriously bay, don't worry so much until you get there. You said your grades are perfect, so if you keep on doing that, we'll find out later what our big grand destiny is" she said honestly

message 79: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Bay shrugged, sure she guessed you got used to it, she actually enjoyed all the mind games she got to play, but she wouldn't tell her new friend that, it would probably scare her away. "Oh I'm keeping my grades up, I plan on getting into Yale even if I'm required to swing a sword, or bow or whatever it is we are required to do..." She didn't say it with as much confidence as she would have liked though. She was a legacy, her mother and father had both attended Yale, it would be a big deal to get in and be able to have the same experiences. Well her step mother, that still seemed so strange to her. "Maybe we should head over to the mess hall, its gotta be close to time to eat..." She was prepared for prison like food, ugh.

Titan kissed his mother politely on the cheek, then gave her a gentle hug, a sad smile on his handsome, young face. He was going to miss her, he was excited about the experience he was about to have too though. His spirit was torn between enjoying the time at the camp him and his sister were about to attend and missing his mother greatly. "I love you mother," He said softly and stepped out of the car when he saw the tears gathered in her blue eyes, he couldn't stand to watch her cry. Jeffrey, their driver, was there to meet him by the trunk, he had pulled his and his sisters trunks out. "Thank you Jeff," He said casually, he believed in a personal relationship with your staff, each would feel more at ease with one another. He waited for his sister, knowing Levinia she would probably sob with his mother and then come tearing out of the car like nothing had even happened. She was odd like that, and lucky to be able to clear her face up so quickly. His mother always claimed it was that beautiful skin Zeus had bestowed upon the golden twins. That's what she had nicknamed them, he rather liked it. Jeff smiled at him and waited as well, he was holding Levie's trunk. "Lev lets go!" He called out, not wanting to miss the bonfire, they still needed to get settled in their cabin. Some were not as lucky as them, some didn't know who their parent was.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

Addie nodded "yeah, youll get there, don't go changing any plans yet" she said, then sighed heavily "I guess we should, wouldn't want to upset mother dearest, eh??" She said, standing up and straightening her destroyed denim jeans. She wasn't exactly sure how she felt about the whole "meet your parent hour" thing that was coming up, she didnt really think she was ready.

Levinia hugged tightly onto her mother, her face buried into her shoulder. Tears were running down her face, but she stayed silent as she cried. She could hear her brother calling her, and she pulled away, looking up at her mother with teary eyes. Sophia looked down at her daughter and smiled sadly. She told her not to cry, to be excited. Then she wiped the tears from the girls face and kissed her forehead tenderly. "I'll see you, mom. You know I'll miss you" Levinia said softly, then kissed her mothers cheek and exited the car, a bright smile on her face already. "Oh leave me aloneeeeee, Ty!!! Well have time, it can't take too much time to plop our trunks in the cabin and run down to wherever it is we're headed" she grumbled, taking her bag from her brother "thank youuuu" she chirped to the driver, then waved to her mother, tugging on her brothers wrist

message 81: by Leena (last edited Aug 10, 2013 06:05PM) (new)

Leena (leena23) Bay grinned, "Yeah no giving in!" She said loudly and walked with Addie out of the cabin that was their temporary home. "I definitely wouldn't want to piss off our mother yet, I mean we don't even know who she is." Bay rolled her eyes and continued walking towards where the signs said the Mess Hall was. "Do you think its going to be crowded? How many other kids do you think are unclaimed?" She thought of how embarrassing it would be if they were the only two. Unless they were sisters, then it would be kind of cool. Right? Bay was losing it.

Titan rolled his eyes, "I'd like to change out of these clothes." He had on a button down, dark blue shirt, slacks and a pair of Italian loafers, his mothers idea of traveling clothes. "Plus I'd like to get there on time, I mean it will be cool to watch everything," Excitement edged into his voice as he spoke, more and more. "C'mon Lev you can't tell me you're not excited about this whole thing, we've both been talking about nothing else for weeks," Titan pulled on a bit of her hair playfully and gave her his boyish smile that always melted her and made her not be mad at him. "I mean I'll miss mother too but really isn't this awesome?" They had just walked through the gate and could see the campers, cabins, and other buildings.

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

"I don't think it'd be that bad to be the only ones, kind of special! Like if there are likes of kids waiting to be claimed you'd just be one of the masses, but if it's just a few, people will remember you. Think positive bay" Addie said in a happy tone, walking towards the mess hall with her new friend. Strange, how she had become friends with bay. They were obviously two very different girls...

Levinia chewed on her lip as they walked "I mean, don't get me wrong, Im really excited, but what if..." She stopped in the path and looked right at him, only having to tilt her head up a smudge "what if our dad.. Well what if he doesn't want me? You've always felt more close to dad than me, and what if he really only wants one of us? Have you ever heard of twin demi-gods before? Cuz I haven't" she said, whispering urgently to her brother "and besides I really didnt want to change anyway, I think I look cute. But I'm probably going to have to" she grumbled as an after thought. She liked the tight black skirt her mother had recommended, but guessed it wouldn't be the best for a bonfire... Ugh. http://m.weheartit.com/entry/70928008...

message 83: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) Bay walked in silence next to her newfound friend, it was getting a bit better with Addie by her side. "True, good thinking Addie," They stopped in front of the doors to the Mess hall, "Well here goes nothing," She said and pushed the doors open so that she and Addie could enter, she wasn't so sure of how everyone would react to the two of them. She didn't look like she belonged there and Addie, well she looked like a force to be reckoned with in Bay's opinion.

"What if what?" Titan asked and then listened as she continued, he frowned deeply as he listened to her fears, her doubts about them as a set in front of their father. "Levinia I will not be a part of anything without you, do you understand me?" He pulled her in close for a tight hug, "I'm not kidding, you and I are a set, and no one and nothing will ever make that stop, or be able to tear us apart from one another. Not even a God." TItan pulled away and took her hand, then started to walk again, he loved his sister literally to death. She was his other half and he would not lose her. Period. He didn't care what anyone else thought, and seeing his sister actually admit her fears like that impressed him. She kept a lot to herself even though he would listen to her anytime she needed to talk.

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

(Ill post at the mess hall. Should there be a bunch of kids in there or should they be like the first ones?)
Levinia hugged Titan tightly. She nodded once he pulled away, instantly reassured. She never would've told anyone else a fear like that, only Titan was trusted with those kinds of things. "Sorry, I think I just needed to hear you say it..." She said in a somewhat guilty tone. She didnt mean to be a baby, but when it came to uncharted waters, like this camp, she couldn't help but be a tad insecure. She took a few deep breaths and then thought of being around a bunch of other kids, kids with powers just like she and titans. Once she focused on that fact, she grinned, and started to walk quickly towards the cabins "come on, you're gonna make us late for the party" she teased him

message 85: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) (Uhhh its up to you...)

Titan rolled his eyes but walked a bit faster beside his twin, "You are the one that was making us late, remember?" He shot back, but it was all in good fun. He was never cruel to his sister, and if someone else tried to be, well lets just say that would be the last thing they did for a while. Titan nodded toward a cabin, "There it is, our home for the next few months." He grabbed her hand once again and pulled her toward the cabin, his excitement barely contained. He was like a child on Christmas about to go downstairs to open presents. This was something he had been looking forward to for a very long time.

"Clear blue skys, gross. I hope it rains out here..... The Demigod thought to herself as she brought her drug of choice to her lips. She exhaled and the tattooed girl continued pulling her full suitcase to this.....Camp? Her mother sent her here, ugh, that was somebody Sloane didn't want to think about. Sloane stepped across the gate and saw people out and going to their cabins. She put out her smoke and Sloane started to walk to her cabin, not wanting to associate with anybody at the moment.
