For me it would have to be a hobbit. The reason being is that I can relate to hobbits quite easily, and although I am not 100% homely and laid back many characters within the tolkien universe proved that you could belong to a race but only share some qualities that they are most known for. I could go off on an adventure if I wanted to but if the time wasn't right then there would always be my hobbit hole to stay in and relax.

After some consideration I realize I am almost already a hobbit, but for the fact that I'm too tall and my feet are too small (and not hairy). While elves are mystique and dragon riders are awesome, I'm a stay at home, read/write by the fire kind of person, not to mention the fact that they don't wear shoes and can move around silently and unnoticed.
